Considering alot of firms are offering a lot more than $250 sign on bonus don’t you think that rob would have moved to another firm by now if all he was interested in was sign up money . Think about it robk if your intelligence can cope with that. Makes sense to me.

Makes sense to most of us, but I dont think Rk will let common sense interfere with his campaign because he doesnt let facts slow him down either.

This is how i see it , grilling a man for information with derogatory remarks about the life style in Canada , and hope that he bites is one thing, but to blatantly discredit him without any proof is idiotic.
I therefore took it upon myself to get in touch with BFS to put an end to this nonsense.
I was told as follows BTD DOSE NOT TAKE BACK HANDERS ,
I asked are his posts about life in Canada and BFS truthful , The answer was ( YES).
I was told anybody in any doubt about BFS or BTD should contact Big Freight Systems via this Email address immigration@bigfreight.com

It isn’t the first time he has thrown unfounded allegations around, as you know, but it really should have been his last. He has been given more chances than a monopoly game but the mods and admin allow him back every time.

Backhander implies getting paid for dodgy dealing.As far as I’m concerned it’s not a backhander,it’s legit money same as getting paid for driving the truck,it certainly comes tax deducted when I see it.
I personally have never found the need to imbellish on what my company can do for you.You’d have to be a right plonker to not know the deal with US trucking if you worked in it.
As for emmigrating drivers, if you don’t understand that they have the same kind of scumbag companies in N America that they have in the rest of the world then clearly you need to question whether you have the right marbles to make the move.

Right enough, Rich. I was O/O over there so my viewpoint is probably slightly different.
That said, there seems to be an awful lot of people here saying that BFS are scumbags and it simply isn’t the way I see it. It is amazing how much these people know about it considering they do not currently work there, and never have.
2 years on and I have no regrets. I have clashed with some there, but that is a normal thing. I have just renewed my work permit and they are the company listed on it. If I was that unhappy then I would have got it for another firm, wouldn’t I.
Particularly as I would be able to get more money for conning people into coming here, were that what I was doing. I have seen the results of scumbag firms here, and what it does to the morale of people sold something false in order to get them here. I know you have, too.
I don’t take the sign on money for several reasons. Firstly, it prevents the kind of nonsense we have seen here. I was amazed that Gumbo went off on the strength of what was written by robk and bigtruck, but I can sort of see why he might. It would have been better had he simply asked me, but that would appear to be dealt with on his part, and he was the one I wanted to know the truth. The other 2 wouldn’t know it if it bit them.
BTW, I think a local livestock hauler pays about $1400 over the first year for sign ons. Maybe I would have gone there if that was what I was after. Maybe the other detractors should look at that firm. They are so good at shovelling and they could even get extra for recruiting.
For the record, I am not any sort of a recruiter. They don’t introduce me to people on visits unless they are specifically asked if I am around. This means that I meet very few until they actually arrive, and even then it can be months before I meet them. I don’t get paid for recruiting because I do not recruit.
Of course, some on here will probably say I am lying again but I do not care in the least. They may think I am lying, I, on the other hand, know that I am not.

point is bob, if your to have a public forum you’ve got to except that some are going to post things you don’t agree with, some are going to post what you know is complete nonsense and is purely designed to get a reaction BUT if you start banning people, in my veiw you no longer have a public forum, you have a clique, a club for yes men. your always gona get the odd idiot who wants to see how far he can push it for their own entertainment but on this ocassion that idiot got his arse smacked! that in my opinion is enough.
BT was recently banned from a certain site, not for casting unfounded allegations or personal attacks but for simply asking awkward questions that those who’d got carried away with the whole thing, felt uncomfortable with, i don’t use that forum anymore neither do a lot of others simply because it’s lost all credibility and basically become what looks like an online advertisement for some of the big trucking companies so you can’t knock the admin on here for not wielding the big stick.

For the record BTD gave me some great advice while I was still in the UK , never asked for a penny . So glad I listened to him and not BT . And no way should he have to answer to all these stupid half hearted allegations , Its a bleeding travesty that the mods should do something about 
For what its worth anybody contemplating the move should book themselves research trip to the area they fancy and TALK to as many drivers and staff of the company they want to work for , Believe me its the only way . Because these expats sites have lost all credibility in my book , I only read them now for a good laugh !
