losing weight

I could lose a stone if I’m honest, and was with you all untill someone mentioned knocking off the ale… :open_mouth: :open_mouth:

I live on a diet of caffein and nicotine. Never been over weight, but am bound to snuff it early :open_mouth:

On the fruit thing, it’s fructose, unless you eat masses of the stuff it’s not going to make you fat, it’s healthy stuff so eat it! There’s three portions in my average day along with around 5-6 of veggies and I’m losing weight.

You’d be surprised how much sugar/calories you can consume with fruit. If you eat more calories than you burn with exercise, you are likely to gain weight, so even if the calories are coming from healthy, nutritious sources such as fruit, they can still contribute to weight gain.

Based on the five-a-day (which could well be a load of ■■■■■■■■) then you should be looking at 2 fruit/3 veg servings. Your mix of 5-6 veg and 3 fruits is a good ratio. You wouldn’t want to try it the other way around though.

Master Cleanse- Lemon Detox Recipe
Mix the following items in a container
2 TBSP lemon juice – freshly squeezed.
2 TBSP pure Grade A maple syrup. (Please don’t use artificially flavored syrups)
1/10 TSP of cayenne pepper (powder form)
8 OZ warm water (purified or spring)

2 TBSP Lemon Juice = 28ml = juice from 2 large lemons
2 TBSP Maple Syrup = 28ml
8 oz Water = 227ml

1 glass ready to drink = 283ml

Recomended Daily Intake is 6 to 8 glasses and no other food at all.
i stick with 7 glasses as it goes in a 2liter waterbottle and 1 light meal every other day, could be a single burger from mcdonalds or a ham salad

7 glass = 1981ml

For a 2 Liter mix = 196ml lemon juice, 196ml maple syrup, 1589 ml water and chilli power

Its eaiser to drink when made with hot water
Avoid using the chilli podwer in until you got a taste for it
Start off with 1 glass a day and work your way up while cutting down on your food

my weight is creeping up again so this week i started on sunday at 92.6kg and drank 2 liters on monday, wenesday and today without
any other food and slightly less than my normal amount off food on tues and thursday and
have just stepped off the scales at 88.2kg

the maple syrup may look expensive but is less than you spend on food in a day

At 1 meal every other day you will lose weight, think I would want to lose more than that.

Problem will be keeping it off when you start eating properly again

was suffering with the typical drivers gut for a while, signed up for a 12 week nutrition and exercise plan (1 hour a week) and lost just under 2 stones, its NOT a diet, but a change in your eating habits
went cold turkey for 2 weeks, gave up Tea, coffee, sugar, alcohol, fizzy pop, dairy products, rice, pasta, potato, bread, cakes, biscuits etc,
poached eggs & smoked salmon, chicken and veg, berries and goats yoghurt a typical days diet, plus 2x litres of water a day
after 2 weeks, could add sweet potato & nuts etc, but only in small portions.
certain fruits are high in natural sugars, so a punnet of grapes, might sound healthy…too much fructose

Don’t eat so much , I often forget to eat , today all I’ve had is steak pie , mash , veg , yesterday Blt sarnie , pckt of crisps , keeps weight down but
I’m not sure it’s good for your health

A bit like me, except
I cut out bread, potatoes,crisps and beer all week. I also walk at least a mile a day.
I then try Eating healthy, but at the weekend I’ll have
2/4 pints over the weekend with a take away sat night and a roast on Sunday and that keeps my weight at steady pace. If I’m aiming to lose weight I’ll cut out the beer and bread over the weekend as well, but when your doing your bit all week, you need a bit of luxury at the weekend otherwise it gets abit tedious and boring.

Been doing Slimming World for last 11 months lost 3 stones by eating more veg and fish,don’t do many exercises but feel loads better and my diabetes has gone.

One of the worse things for putting weight on is carbs in food. If you are not exercising and not using up the stored energy that carbohydrates gives you then it just stores as fat. Don’t cut out carbs completely but a low carb diet may help such as eating less bread, pasta and rice.
