Muckaway:
That BMC thing is a monstrosity, it looks like one of those awful Steyr cabbed ERFs after a dodgy dose of botox.

Out and about its been a bit quiet lorry wise this week.
If anyone has a handbrake lever for an AEC Mercury 1965 vintage can you p.m me I know a man who is looking for one.
Rush green have one but its a bit pricey.
An interesting spot of daywork/muck away on Monday at St Marys’ church in Woodstock. They’re looking at putting in underfloor heating but some test holes had to be dug for the archeologist. Didn’t find anything sadly (no dead kings but there must be some dead Dukes of Marlborough lying about) but it did involve handballing and wheelbarrows. I felt like Ronnie Barker in that ditch digging episode of Porridge.

Ronnie Barker in porridge cracking comedy.
Architectural salvage popped into my mind when I looked at the quality of the stonework , don’t get stonemasons who can do that sort of cutting anymore.
The clock in the church is a musical carillon plays a different tune for evey day of the week.
I’d like to hear that , makes a change from bells.
(Googled the church).
Funnily enough we couldn’t hear the carillon inside the church, but it certainly does play.
A different view of our 8wheeler.
This rubble is all our topsoil screen rejects, we’ve just sold the last of it to a farmer who needs to build a road to a long derelict stone barn…which will be converted into a townies’ retreat.
A nice level 15m3 load well within the body and not above the sides, about a tonne underweight and soon to be sheeted.
…Anyone’d think I used to be a shovel driver.

Always something different for you muckaway.
Saves getting bored pounding the beat.
■■■■■■ off a few cylinder drivers from another Depot (it’s usually their drop) after getting down a back lane in the centre of Hawes. Their gaffer’s now asking them why he’s been told for years it can’t be done unless in a 7.5 tonner.

Out and about.
Nice international tractor resting in a shed.

An RB would be too easy a guess, Larry. If it’d had a bucket on the end I’dve said Priestman Lion…
