Out and about
I drove this for Sheehans’ back in 1998, surprised to see it yesterday and that they’re still using it.
Plenty of life left in that muckaway.
Out and about, tidy FM wrecker rolled up today 540 bhp imported from Holland .
Couldn’t get a decent photo but I’ll catch it again.
What camera do you use, Use A Name? I really like the ones set against a gloomy sky (plenty of practice recently )
Hiya Phil ,if you get any GOOD Foden wheel trims as above then I am your man thanks Dan .

I just use the camera on my phone muckaway.
Never been one for taking photos, I just felt a chunk of lorry history was slipping away and I wanted to catch it before it did…
Punchy Dan:

I’ll keep me eye out Dan.
Jakdaw:
Another barge delivery.3210
You got a bit closer this time jakdaw , looks like a British waterways barge with a mini digger in it.
Wirral.
The FL10 is having a new cab then back out earning its keep.
A FL7 cab is going on, there are a few subtle differences mainly wiring.
Tidy double drive Actros 610 bhp ? Not to sure.
Is the FL10 owner into classics or just hates throwing stuff away for the sake of it?
Talking of FLs there are a surprising amount of them for sale on Truck Trader at the moment, and in very good condition. Better than the newer stuff in a lot of cases.

Engine and roll on roll off in good working order muckaway.
The cab was rotten and knocked about after 17 years hard work.
Cheaper to re cab than buy another.
Purely a financial decision i would have thought.
I see truck and driver this month has a write up on the FL , now I know I’m getting old.
I always liked them especially the fl12 in 8 wheeler form.
There were still a few FLs on tipper work when I started driving. I used to load a few in the quarry before that and they always had a good payload.
The FL12 was a rarity around here, the '10 being the popular one. I do remember a couple of FL7 8wheelers about and I often caught them up (easily ) going up hills in the Cotswolds. I got stuck behind one going up the Fosseway near Northleach and I could’ve stopped for tyre watering and a cuppa and still been pushing him up Stow Hill. Their payloads were good but you must’ve lost a load because they were so gutless on hills.

I liked the Wendy house , easy to climb in and out of.
Engine hump got in the way but you soon got used to it.
You didn’t win any races in them, but it is what it is a good little lorry that you had to drive.
Different pace in the FLs era.
It would be a liability today power wise and all up.
That BMC thing is a monstrosity, it looks like one of those awful Steyr cabbed ERFs after a dodgy dose of botox.
