Yes, I remember T.S Thomas, as will many others. Back in my day they were green tippers working out of the quarry, well before they started pulling fridges. Mostly Albions with LAD cabs, if I recall correctly?
Were they not based at the quarry which is now the national diving centre ? By the old railway line up to Tiddenham . regards Keith .

yes.the tippers were but i think the fridges were based on lydney ind est.

yep. its a national diving center now.T.S.Thomas are still going but are now doing roadmending.

Hi wideboybob , yes Stelrad were based on the hadnock ind est , but i think were based in Banbury or that area , hence the Oxfordshire registrations . D T Williams or Fred if you prefer also hauled out of Stelrad with Fodens . regards Keith

hi rof cant remember the waste paper place, unless it was a part of ashton sawmills just along the road.they were part ofst regis paper co now called ds smith. they run 110 scania day cab units taking woodchips to sudbrook paper mill ,also st regis group

We used to take baled waste paper from them to somewhere in East London- can’t remember the firm or the exact location, but I do remember that it involved using two sets of standard BRS-sized sheets!

Hi ROF , i can remember Horace Williams from Ross doing alot out of Kents taking waste paper down to High Wycombe , resulting them having a Foden unit being burnt out on one particular trip . regards Keith .
What did they expect? Foden+sparks+paper=FIRE!!!
