Mervyn Freeman has a tidy fleet of MAN and DAF 8 tippers mostly on muck shifting . His depot is just outside Ruardean on the back road to Bulls Hill . regards Keith .

Yers a couple off a mate of mine that he posted on another site. He’s got some great pictures of when his late father was driving & I’ve got his permission to post them on here…Cheers Matt.

Even if I’d carried a camera I don’t think Merv would have given me time to take a photo! It was ,“Pick it up, take it there, drop it off, see ya, driver”! Good paying bloke, though.

Yers a couple from outside the yard on the Hope Mansel road that I took today on the way back from Ross.

My best mate went.he reckons the Guy with a 240 Gardner looked good. :smiling_imp:

Another memory flashback.T.S.Thomas tippers from Lydney way, anyone? Just been reading this thread from the start.Richard Reads photos on some web page shows that Douglas and my favorite tractor unit when tipped a load for Lucas,s in Birmingham.Twin steer Rolls powered.

Yes, I remember T.S Thomas, as will many others. Back in my day they were green tippers working out of the quarry, well before they started pulling fridges. Mostly Albions with LAD cabs, if I recall correctly?
