Hi Richardg anything can be rebuilt with 5 minute epoxy :unamused: :unamused:
Even “The Joker” :unamused: R Jimski it’s easy done!!!

Hello Jimski, I was pulling the The Joker from Italy back to Le Havre. Wouldnt let me pull it on the ferry. I had pulled the trailer and Gazzer beind that. Had some fun at peages etc.
Richardg

Hi Richardg blimey mate I bet that was a journey and half ! Bet Gazzer enjoyed that with no p/ steering! On one of the pic’s I saw of it I think I could jus make out the prop had been dropped ? How long they take to repair that ■■
Hope you pulled Gary through the peage till he got to the window to pay!!

Hi all here’s a quick question, as I’ve been out the transport game for a while I know that back in the day( as Mappo puts it)
to get an " O" Licence you had to pass a CPC now then, as from soon all HGV drivers have to have this CPC does that mean that now anyone can obtain an “O” licence ■■? Or is there now another hurdle to get over to get one■■?

Regards Jimski

Hi Jim

No it’s Not the same CPC so although I have my CPC I still have to take the drivers one :frowning: :frowning: :frowning: :frowning: if I want to drive trucks. I can still drive the RV without the CPC when it comes in as a lawful reqirement but will still need a LGV licence

Hi Pat blimey mate so two different things then, so when they had you in the class room for thirty something hours and teach you every thing there is to know about the business what else is there to know for “O” licence CPC■■?
Same in the private hire business Pat now you need to have B teq and NVQ to drive a cab so some of the boys out there been driving a cab for 30-40 years now there gonna take em into a classroom and tell them how to do their job :unamused: !!!
Load of <>#+*::-s if you ask me !!!
Regards Jimski

Hi All
Theres no exam for the CPC but here is a question in the procedings.
If you brake hard will your vehicle dip to the a) left
b) front
c)rear
had to ask a freind for that one its a complete load of baby makers basicly a £1.00 a week tax on your HGV

Re CPC

If you are caught for some infringment you can no longer plead ignorance if you have attended the CPC course because your attendance is registered and you should have paid attention in the classroom!

But i’m only a steering wheel attendant the words were tooooooooooooooooooooo loooooooongggggg for me

Hi Jimski. I can understand the confusion regarding the drivers C.P.C. to yourself and many others employed at the moment in the transport industry. The confusion is caused by the terminology C.P.C. as until now the only C.P.C. was for transport management, national and international. The initials C.P.C actually stands for “Certificate of Professional Competance”. This means that you are considered professionally competant in a particular field. Therefore the drivers C.P.C. will mean that he is considered professionally competant to drive an LGV. with the full knowledge of all the rules and regulations which govern his profession. This could also apply to such people as plumbers, electricians and various other trades if the government so wished to implement a law. Surely this can only be a good thing for the industry and also add another string to the professional drivers bow. Not unlike the HGV licence which came into existence in about 1969 and prevented people coming off building sites etc; and jumping behind the wheel of a lorry when it suited. Hope this has brought some clarification to the table and dispelled any confusion with the C.P.C for Transport Management.
Regards, Nobby
