Pat i think at some point that day cab 111 would have been green if not green then blue sea route had two day cab LHDs running out of the docks . Do you still have some 111s in your yard ?
No Lee there are no old Scania’s in the yard except this 143 we are still running
Nice motor Pat i bet it still pulls well , i prefare the older scanias not keen on the newer models when they changed to the new style like the 114s . I grew up around 111s and 112s and had a 113 when i was at sea route guess thats why . How is Tony Eldrige doing these days
Hi Lee I have not seen Tony for a while but I think he is OK I will make a point of going to see him some time I still have a few of his photographs from a while ago.
This is of interest to Southampton where R K Crisp had a depot in Portswood opposite the BRS Depot that is now B&Q taken from the Scrapbook thread!

I was in Bristol Friday I couldn’t see you anywhere
Keep up the good work !

Thanks for the answer ref the A34 and Chris Hills photo.I would suggest it was taken before the Sutton Scotney by pass was opened which was in the mid 80s I think. They have just this year filled in that layby which is on the old A34 between Sutton Scotney and the South Wonston turn they done to stop travellers parking in it.
Ok what sort of prize should I look forward to
Was that a pedantic or “picky” reply?
Hi Ian as a special prize just for you I have a brand new unused glider engine waiting here in the yard for you to collect I’ll also throw in a left handed screwdriver and a long weight if you have the time
Another pic from Bubbleman’s Scrapbook thread this time Rank Hovis I think this was taken at the Southampton Mill
Hi all , Hi Gazzer did you get my email yesterday ■■ R Jimski
Another of Chris Hill’s pics this time of SCA trailers with I presume Hills of Botley tractor units
Hello Pat,What a shame theres not a front shot of the Guys,as Richard (Tribsa) said the Invincible is probably a cut down 8 wheeler as Hills did a lot of that.Heres another Invincible (well loaded) probably a cut down as well, again from the rear.
Jimski,I’m going through the cuttings looking for the Sea Route pic, spent hours looking …not got it yet mate…only half way through the first box…it may take a while
Cheers Bubbs,

Hi Pat. I’ll have a stab at the railway carriages’ destination if only to be proved wrong. Was it what is now the A259 somewhere between Nutbourne and Bosham. Placed upon the grounds of what used to be a good old transport cafe and turned into an Italian restaurant. All that happened in the 60’s so could have been possible. I know your going to say it’s wrong and that was another carriage altogether !
Cheers , Nobby.
