Hi Jim

Chris Hill reliably informed me that it was the old Thornhill Roundabout

How about this one?

Hi Pat at first I thought it’s easy it’s somewhere around the Civic Centre, may be the Guildhall car park or main car ark out the front of the Civic, but I got a fellin your gonna say wrong !! :unamused:
R Jimski

The Thornhill Roundabout one could be correct. As a nipper I lived just up the road and I remember it being concrete. If so, then where the trucks are parked would be what is now the link road to J7 and the photo is being taken from Upper Northam Rd which went in to Hedge End. The street lights are unusual but then it was the main A27 Trunk road. No pickiness here!
