Long Departed Southampton Hauliers (Part 1)

bubbleman:
Hi Pat,I remember your posting a few weeks ago when you mentioned you bought some Scanias from R.E.Harradine…did 841 come to you in their livery? 842 was origianally a Hako lorry as was 843, all LHD perhaps Hako was 841’s first owner.

Thanks a lot Pat for that little job you did

Cheers Bubbs,

Hi Marc thanks for the BRT pics, it is possible that BRT 841T was originally owned by Hako but it was plain red and didn’t have a roof aircon when I bought it from John Myhill a dealer at Foulsham in Norfolk!

Hi all, hi Pat is you in tomorrow for tea party ? Prob pop in, R Jimski

Here you are Jim I was sent this pic of my 6X4 143 F737 RPX taken before we had it!

The original owner was Hankin Haulage of Four Marks near Alton Hampshire when it was a 6X2

Hi Pat, wish you had still got them real wheel covers on cos the kit came with them,it took me ages to scratch build ones like you got now in alley, the other awkward part was the exhaust set up the two stacks but just finished them to day, you got a fair bit of history about her then.

Good evening gentlemen. I had a nice landline call this morning from Nobby Stratton (TIR Original)
He told me that next Friday is his birthday. Therefore I would like to publicly wish him Many happy returns.
As he is knocking on a bit, every day is a bonus.(I know exactly how it is). I have heard through the grapvine that his brother Ennis is planning a special surprise. If anyone wishes to donate a few bob to him then you can drop it in to
" Pats Cafe" who will look after it until I manage to get down there to pick it up.Many thanks Pat Regards to all Charlie

I also seem to remember this shed!!!

Sheds to good a word for that Volvo, what a heap.

Hi all, I know there’s not a lot of room in the old 88s but hell I’d rather have less room than a truck looking like that !!
Someones ruined a good truck putting that wardrobe on top !!
