Hi Pat
No mate first time you got the pointer one I think the cyber space over Ireland went a bit wild.
I was talking to Chris Hill this week and the long wheel base Guy was brought to pull long pin continental trailers with a sleeper cab it was only the same wheelbase as the R.K. Crisp one & as that is locally registered I wonder if it was the one Mick Leech drove.
Cheers Rich
That Guy was the same spec Wheelbase as the R K Crisp motors, it also has the export double skinned roof. IIRC some of these motors got as far as the docks for export and were snatched back due to a last minute cancellation.

Hi Richard
Dave Tutt had just texted me with the very sad news of poor Stan’s death.
I had known Stan for many years I first met him around 78 when he was on for Sea Route Ferry, who I was subbying for with an AEC Mercury flatbed.
Can you please give my and Sue’s sincere condolencies to Fran (who Sue had worked with) as I would think the funeral will before we get back from Ireland.
Also thank you for organising the last Christmas do so I had one last time to chat with Stan
Not a very clear photo, but this is Jim Squibb. If memory serves, he was thinking of buying this F88 from Hammer International, but I don’t think the deal went through in the end.
What Jim did for the likes of me and many others, was give us youngsters a start on International haulage, not easy way back in the late '60’s early '70’s when it was still in it’s infancy, compared to the '80’s when it really took off, and jobs were plentiful, For that I’ll always be grateful to him.
