Quiz time:
If you saw this, what would be on the otherside?
Hi Gary,
Would the answer be “Townsend Thoresen” ?
Charlieone used to keep his dirty underwear in one, if he’d been away for 3 weeks,it would just hold his 1 pair of Y fronts and a pair of socks.
Are you now living in Belgrave Road ■■
Regards
Richard

Richard.Re theThoresen bag,did you ever find the one I left in the cab when I left R and A back in
1988? It contained two pairs of Y fronts and a jock strap I had been carrying around for several
months. If you still have them, can you please return them to me? I dont believe in wasting good clothes.
Many thanks.Regards Charlie

Is it the foto Pat or does that Guy have a very long wheelbase for the time?
Hi Gary
The pic has been taken off for some reason or I cannot see it any way
Here is another I have put up before
This one does not look to be long, mind you if the other Guy did have a 240 Gardner in it I dare say the engine would stick out the back of the cab and restrict what trailers could be pulled

Hi Charlie,
Hope you and your good lady are well, once the nights get longer I’ll arrange a group trip to Alton,
We did find the bag thanks, and Angela took it to Buckfast Abbey where she was tipping a tanker, she thought it belonged to them as it had St Michael on the label, when they saw the jock strap (small) they thanked you for your support
Regards
Richard

Hi Richard. Many thanks for your very kind reply.I am pleased that my underclothes
have gone to a good home as I had become quite attached to them in more ways
than one!.Looking forward to the proposed outing to Alton.I have had a word with some
of the ladies in the WI and a few have shown an interest in performing an adult show for
those of the party who do not have pacemakers fitted. Will let you have more details nearer the time.
Terry Sparrow has got quite excited over it all and said that he will be wearing his best boots
for the occasion.Best regards Charlie
Hi All
Hi Pat do you think we should have the Armstrong Scammell as they had a Southampton depot & I think that pic is taken in Queens Terrace.
Also the \smiths Guy for the same reason & is that opposite where Toys r us is now I think there was a cafe there before I was thought of.
Cheers Rich
Hi Richard here as you requested from the Scrapbook thread, courtesy of Marc (Bubbleman)
Armstrong tanker
Just edited it and got the pic back (Monday 7th}
I can’t find the Smith Guy some of Bubbs pics are missing!
Dave Tutt rang me today to say that Stan (the Man) Compton is terminally ill. Give my best wishes to Stan and Fran if you see them as I am away in Ireland at present in the RV.

Hi Pat
Have you got a picture of the 240 Big J taken from the side, and showing the last 2 pots sticking out the back. It would sort out another thread on here
cheers
John.

I’d take a guess, (though Chris Hill will know the answer) but it looks like one they stretched and put a second steer in it, and called them a Bridge Motors…This may have had the steer removed…?
