monkey spanner, is that alan white fitter at princes the nig"" i seem to remember they made what was called an 88 and a half we called it , a right hand 89. i had all the 88 89 f10 f12 manuals and all the 110 scania manuals up to 10 years ago, i through them in the skip all the recalls every thing. worth some money now shame… the best recal was to take the feul pump conection off the exaust brake, stopped them going off the mountians when using exauster. stopped engine no steering took them awile to work that one out ha nig"" see ya .
The one and the same Alan “Chalky” White.
Same as the DAF 3300 I drove for ECT, exhaust brake on, engine cut out when changing gear, no steering and lacking in brake effort, wonderful coming down the Pamplona “hill”.
GAZZER IS THAT CHALKY WHITE FROM SKILLBEECH ,PS SURE I HAVE THE JOKES ON EUROPE WHEN IT WAS IN THE ECHO FIRST ON THE ROAD

I seem to remember that this Febland 88/89 went over the edge coming down the Blanc he had his exhaust brake on and it jumped out of gear, he was lucky that he managed to jump out before it went over
This is what happens when you hitch up to a trailer and put on the redline having left the handbrake off on the unit!
This happened ay IRS Fawley I think

No not “Chalky” from Skillibeck but “Chalky” from Princes VOLVO.
Have a dig for that paper swayze, I dont think I saved a copy. It appeared in Les Routiers magazine once, just a random autoroute foto taken near Carcassonne and on the back of the “CB Bible” paperback with a “tart” hanging off the mirror…nobody I knew!..for once!
another one from marc bubblemans thread , elliotts , who also had a depot in rushington totton , i believe the company ceased trading after a terrible accident on the m6
