I’ve had a quick scan throguh the postings on here and have seen nothing of the latest news on Harry Nash. It was only today that I learned that poor old Harry died suddenly on the 20th September. There is a service at Southampton crematorium this coming Thursday at 11.45 am. I don’t think there are many older drivers out there that didn’t know or work with old Harry. I worked with him from back in the early 60’s on two or three company’s and later actually employed him as a driver. I for one will try to attend the service and hope that a few more will show up to say farewell to him.
R.I.P. Harry.
Sad regards, Nobby.
H Nobby I posted this last week!

Hi Pat Scorey and Ennis Stratton came in today, Pat Scorey told us that ‘Harry Black’ who worked for Eric Baker has died being cremated he thinks on the 8th October at Stoneham.
Apparently Harry was well known for being able to Scotland and back in one hit!
I also heard today that Bob Cartwrights dad also Bob has died.
Regards the F89 Pat said Phil Dibden drove it but will ask Mick Winterbourne at the weekend for more info

Sorry for the mix up Pat, I did read your post and thought “Harry Black” was just a driver that I did not know. His name as I stated is Harry Nash and his nick-name was Black Harry (not Harry Black). I’m probably not the only one to have not realised the mistake. : Regards, Nobby.

Bubbs,
Here is Dave Parsons and I on a Ride n Drive in Sweden courtesy of Volvo AB. 40 people were selected to go to the factory but Dave and I along with John “JellY” Jelbart were able to go on the drive with a 56 ton and a 38 ton F12 with the “new” Intercooler engine and 12 speed SR70 gearbox. We were The Boox! (and probably still are…"Boox!)

Just been on to the Road transport website.Very interesting re Boyes Conning. It appears that Millgold bought BC from G J Cooper for a Pound. And then ran up debts of £74000. They seem to owe Coopers a hell of a lot.Strange eh? watch this space.I wonder if Coopers will buy Boyes back as a going concern? Any thoughts? Regards Charlie
its supposidly a complete and utter mess at the moment. No-one knows who is doing what for who. whole group is apparently £1.7 million in the red!!!
Hi George.I,m sure it is a mess and I,m very sad.Gave me a living for a while.I see Simon Webb refused to comment.I think Graham Westcott knew what he was doing when he sold out.Regards Charlie
