Horry:
Afternoon Fergie. Sure this character had a black leather jacket on yesterday and was spotted drinking tea in the Nursling area. Looks like he’s gone to the yard and his truck still ain’t back yet.
He’s far better looking than most that attended Pat’s tea party yesterday, with or without the leather jacket…but, be careful Horry…stick a bonnet and a tutu on him, and mappo would try
to **** it…

Fergie glad you got on to the subject of good lookin blokes how about my passport photo issued in 1973 by Southampton employment exchange thats about as smart as you’ll ever see me bit better than Mappo boy innit.
Evening Jim. I did not realise Terry from ‘Minder’ obtained his passport in Southampton. Only joking Dad, you know I am your retro double now minus the sidies.
Mappo - It was unfair and silly of me to even consider the thought of comparing you to a Spanish Dog. Dogs would not be seen dead in socks and sandals.
Gazzer, hope Elkie is well, if you see him again, please pass on my regards, not seen him for about ten years now.
Stuart Mitchell (aka Baldrick) - spotted this week in the south of France driving for a Kermit firm. No idea who though.

Jimski:
Hi Big Ben welcome back in time mate, got any pics to put on, you must know a lot of the drivers and ex drivers on this thread !
Regards Jimski
Hi Jimski. I have no photos as Ive moved around so much since those days, but memories I do have. It was around the very late 1980s and early nineties I was around that area. Lived in Poole for a few years then Pompey. I remember catching the Love boat out of Southampton to Cherbourg quite regular. Always remember Shirley of John Davis [Busby] always used to meet his drivers in Southampton coming home with his braces on and roll up in the mouth. At that time I was working for Steve Kidd out of Poole pulling for Transfresh at Poole doing Gibraltar all the time. Then I believe he packed up, then I worked for J.R.M. in Pompey pulling for STS at Southampton doing Greece and Italy. The 2 guys that owned J.R.M came from Souhampton, Richard and Bob. They went bust. I believe Bob went and drove for a company out Romsey way big firm with blue trailers and white units. Never saw Richard again, vanished. Im now retired and running my own Abnormal load ■■■■■■ business, been going 2 years now. Not to good at the moment. Got a big job in April, going to Poland to ■■■■■■ a load back to the UK.
Hi BigBen that’s a colourful past mate, still now you’ve retired you don’t wanna do to much… Or do you??
What’s the big load from Poland?? Shame no pics but we all wished we took more now that we’re all looking back at good times, maybe our paths have crossed before now, maybe in your STS days ■■
All the best mate don’t forget the pics from Poland !
