Hi Jim you better watch this thread as Duff might be engaged else where 2day you don’t want to be slipping to page 2 again keep an eye out
Hi John wonder where he is then? He was about earlier , has Horry found twin headlight globby yet??
Regards Jim
Hi Jim i thought pat would be sinkin a few as it’s St Paddy’s day. Horry ain’t got time to look that’s my job but to find a good one aint gonna be easy cos if he does it it will have to be himaculate if you know what i mean.
No had a very sober St Paddy’s day as it happened.
Had to pic my cousin up from Stansted at 2.50pm left home at noon but due to a bad accident between junction 4 and 3 on M3 didn’t get to the airport till 3.30. Then bad weather on way back rain etc so arrived home about 6.30 then went out for a meal and only had 2 pints as I was driving.
So not a usual Paddy’s Day! I missed the rugby as well!!! Still nice to meet up with my cousin and his wife and son Shane who is only 2!
Well well well
What a surprise…So many kind comments as usual
I,m not going to quote each insult / slagging off as it would take too long.

Hi Pat.
How about Cosham level crossing.Regards Charlie
Hi Charlie…funny you should mention Cosham mate cos as a nipper before ever getting involved
in transport i used to work at Cosham station as a junior porter ( would have been around 1965/1966 )
one of my duties was to assist the signalman in closing the gates when it was windy by pushing them across the road
while he turned his wheel in the signal hut.
I was later transferred to Hamble Halt station which was a single manned station where i was Station Master, platform sweeper upper,
ticket seller and collector, as well as the bog cleaner.

Jeremy, any idea is worth doing as long as it saves money. I bumped into to you a few times in and around France around the late 80’s I think? I was on for RS Hills at time IIRC
Hi Pete, i never drove for RS Hills but i did buy a second hand 30ft caravan from them in 1971 as my first marital abode.
PS…I believe Cluey,s doing a bit for ya…for gawds sake dont give him a CB.
and try not to send him too far, he,s getting on a bit now.

As for being referred to as a bad dresser, i was just a dedicated follower of fashion.

Tony, ah yes delivering caravans on a Sunday I forgot about that, ‘’ its not real work boy it’s farm work you don’t need to put that on your time sheet’’ was what I was told, ‘‘you have only been sunning yourself down in Valencia all week after you came back from Manchester on Monday, youve got time’’
Yep Cluey is doing a bit for us, only local mind, he did however inform me that he one hit it all the way to St Albans on Friday but fell off his perch on the way home and had to pull in to the first restop sorry Fleet on the way home for 5 minutes on the steering wheel lol… No seriously it’s great fun having him around…
I’ve already made a topic for these pics a while ago but seeing as nobody’s mentioned them on this thread before I thought I’d add them for who ever hasn’t seen them yet! Heres a few pics of Harry Phillips & Alan Nichols trucks for who ever remembers them!
