Cav551…in answer to your question, the only firm that comes to mind

Regards
Richard

Hi All

Hope everyone is well.

I took this pick when i got back from Gaydon the other week i thought it was quite a good pic.

Of Terrys F10 and of the F88 i bought back.

as i say two bad ones on the back and a good one pulling them!!!

And here is the first lorry i ever bought the other day  Y572 FYA Scania 144 460 which is going to replace the 143

regards
Paddy

Hi Paddy,

Well done your Dad would have been really proud of you.

Good luck with everything.

Hope Mum is ok.

Regards

Richard

Hi Paddy nice pics the new’n look good are you gonna paint it the old Duffy colours ■■ Before you put it on ■■
R Jimmer

Nice one Paddy, let’s hope it keeps going as long as the 143.
Good photos as well mate…I know of Terry’s F10, but what’s the
story on the 88.■■?

Hi All

The F88 belonged to a fella called Dave Gilmore i took it up to Gaydon for him as he Doesn’t have a HGV it was nice to see somthing that leaked more oil then the 143

He has now sold it and it will now be on its way to ireland another job i wouldnt of minded!!!

And sorry Jim, pete has already been down with some ideas for the new truck, we are going to keep the cab black but the Red, White & blue will be on there and he is going to blend it in with the layout of the new cab.

as for the 143 i will hopefully be painting that in the old colours in memory of dad as a tribute for him and i hope that work picks up as i would love to get another low loader and run the pair. but we will see how we go with that! i will get the new one running first.

but i am happy i have stuck to Scania just like dad, as i got offered two VOLVOs but it just did not seem right!!!

it is an ex JF Pearce scania who do the concrete blocks from Shepton Mallet.

but it will be shotblasted this week and hopefully will be on the road soon.

going to be sad to see the 143 parked up as it has been a great truck not only for dad but for me.
but the fuel the old girl is using just seemed right to buy this newer one.

but we will get the cab polished right up and get it looking gleaming as me and terry want to look after this new truck and keep it clean, as the cab was clean as anything.

i told terry to take it out and see what he thought as i drove it back from shepton mallet
and he said its not right Paddy, its quiet, clean, and runs perfect he said!!!

but looking forward to running it and keeeping going.

regards
Paddy

Take a good look at the driver. It looks to me to resemble the famous TIR Tone. No offence intended. Regards Charlie

But who is it and what’s written on the side? Tone must be getting worried about the load!

None taken Charlie…anyway the driver looks too young to have been
me at the time . :unamused: :unamused: :unamused:

Looks like one of R & A,s early ones to me Gazzer, and I reckon that,s a young
Richard just collected his weeks earnings in banknotes… :open_mouth: :open_mouth:

Tone I reckon Angie is in one of them bags and Richard was smuggling her out, Buzzer.

Just heard some very sad news.
I,ve just been speaking with Trevor Mcness and he informs that John Lee
passed away last week.
Yet another great character from back in the day gone…RIP John.
