Hi All
I think F J C Transport was Peter Cook from New Milton that Jimmy Alford took over & he became the transport manager running the scrap, coal & anything that would go in a steel bulk trailer even Ford tractors from Basildon this may be all wrong but I don’t think so. I will ask Smurf when I see him.
I think David Laurie had something to do with it and it was the remnants of Ingrem Furness from New Milton.
Cheers Rich

That Scania I think became Blue & was driven by Chis on containers it also looks like Jimmys’ yard.

Jimski
You should have gone to spec savers Bob & Ted Newman drove out of the arena before we got on Steve Cooks engine.

Cheers Rich

Would that be Neil Cooks dad? Neil now works for Geoff Kilbey in New Milton and I know he had some links to working at Ingrems in New Milton

A reply I made on Bubbleman’s Scrapbook thread anyone know if this was Ray’s yard?

The Millbrook Wrecker, ERF and Diamond T ■■ and Merc were possibly in Ray Avery’s Yard near Southampton!

Millbrook is an area in Southampton.

The ERF looks very much to be in local haulier and vintage truck enthusiast Danny Dovey’s colours

But I’m not a fan of drinking Guiness out of a can definitely not the same as a pint of the black stuff in Ireland

Jimski:
Hi all, quick question Italian trailer do they hold their own registration plates or do they carry the same reg as the tractor??

They have their own registration plate. It’s white with “Rimorchio” above the ident whereas the truck reg plate, which is also displayed on the rear of the trailer is a yellow plate.

The pic below is fairly modern but clearly shows both plates and their individual styles.

I don’t know how far back this system has been in place but it’s certainly was in place when I first ventured into Italy in the mid 90s.

I think I may start drinking Guiness if the barmaid does home deliveries
