Hi Ainacs, the Scammel pic was after I left Hills,is it “BOYCEY” sat in the engine,
but I see the “big trailer” was the one I started with Titch Notley, I mated him on that tr and many jobs not with the big tr, MUH 21 and the 60 ton float, also FOO---- RUP 600 and the ANTAR , to me he was the best, he could back a a draw bar tr on the mirror any were,
The outher pic that is Barry Johnson leaning on the mud guard I don’t know the reg number, a character not to be missed!!! I mated him my first job, to brighton power station, stoped at Fontwell café for breakfast!!, loaded a lump for up north, all useless imfo but I wonder were they are now? cheers, mick

Hi Pat that is a nice mixture of wagons a Pacific on the front, a Diamond T pushing and a Scammell Constructor 6x6 at the rear and it looks like the 300 ton trailer

cheers Johnnie

The tractor on the front was a pacific Wynns built using a lot of Scammell components

Hi all, quick question Italian trailer do they hold their own registration plates or do they carry the same reg as the tractor??

Hi Jim sorry I don’t know about the Italian trailer registration situation

I recently had this pic sent to me of KJN671P

This was originally a draw bar rigid but Astran cut it back to a tractor Barry Barnes drove it before Jerry Whelan had it as an owner driver on for Astran, I then bought it from him when he packed in being an owner driver.

Some other pics of KJN

Seen here on the way to Italy with Eddie Huntley as driver,

Regards Pat
