BOB OLLIE…Sad to hear that Bob, ex Eurohaul and I,m sure known to many has
passed away after a fairly long illness.
Condolences to his close friends and family.

gazzer:
Yeah thats the one Balders, GAZIOW was about 23 I think and Charlie1 was about 40 IIRC! LOL

Yes mate… I was 23 as well… 36 years ago and coming up to 60 now…Where did all those years go■■? we certainly lived though eh… were you a Ferry Boat or Rascasse man in them days?.. a name just sprung into my head… The Forge… on the road from Le Havre to Rouen… not Autoroute obviously…might have been La Forge… although thinking about it you were Autoroute boys then… Scorey P would get it in One…

Baldrick I remember “The Forge” well, or to give it it’s correct name “La Forche” as it sat in the fork at Yvetot on the N.13/N.29. Somewhere along the way it got mis-translated but it was known to us all as the forge. During my brief but educating career on Cabmont, we often met a customs agent by the name of Michel from C.A.T. at Rouen, at that very routier, where he would effect our on wheels clearance. Happy days!!

Mappo Sorry to hear of the passing of Bob Ollie. Over the years our paths crossed many times, mostly during his time with BKG. We shared many pleasant meals all over Europe - RIP Bob

a couple from over Eastleigh way,

Colin

the Karrier was a favorite with railway depots and they very often worked alongside other “mechanical horses”
