Hi John,

I wasn’t going to mention the holiday, the blue sea, the 23 degree temperatures, the 11 hours a day sunshine, but since you bought it up I had a great time thanks.
understand you been in Windsor all day, did it go well??

I believe it is a Commer. I must get the old man down and get some of his memories/comments on here.

another Denham truck my dad drove, this time a Seddon.

Colin

Yes I can throw a tune ! That pub is where I first drank just slightly under age ! Its still there but been a few years since I’ve been in

I also inherited my dads skill of driving trucks before I get moaned at !

gazzer:
Yeah thats the one Balders, GAZIOW was about 23 I think and Charlie1 was about 40 IIRC! LOL

Yes mate… I was 23 as well… 36 years ago and coming up to 60 now…Where did all those years go■■? we certainly lived though eh… were you a Ferry Boat or Rascasse man in them days?.. a name just sprung into my head… The Forge… on the road from Le Havre to Rouen… not Autoroute obviously…might have been La Forge… although thinking about it you were Autoroute boys then… Scorey P would get it in One…

JD… was going to tell my Jamesons story, ( be patient Charlie… ) but remembered something else…was reminded by your London Mark post…about ■■■ related things…

If you recall, in the 90’s I took a break from driving and was dealing in antiques? I seem to remember I sold you a long case clock… Hope it’s still ticking…If not, bad luck the warranty’s expired…
I had four years in that game and could really write a book about it! Anyway…I got a call one day to go and look at some stuff in a house just up the road from your old place in Bridge Road… across from you and up a bit after the bungalow…

An old dear in her 60’s answered the door and said she was moving to a retirement flat. House was sold and would I take the contents? …We did a deal and I went the next day to pick up the furniture etc…
In the process, I took off the cornice of an old wardrobe, and there was an old leather suitcase…

The unwritten rule of house clearance is that any " plunder " is taken out to the van asap… This I did…

Later that day I looked in the suitcase, it was chocfull of old black and white ■■■■ pics… :open_mouth: :open_mouth:

It was quite obvious that the womam in the pics with a variety of blokes was my client… and also that she was performing on the Chaise Longue and other items I hoped to make a profit on…

I went back next day to finish off and couldn’t look her in the eye. For a while after, I was trying to identify local blokes that were in the photos… I think one was the local butcher in Park |Gate… but you cant go in with an old pic and say "is this you in the 50’s mate■■?..Happy Days… :stuck_out_tongue: :stuck_out_tongue:

Blimey Baldrick I said colourful past :unamused: you should write a book !!

Regards Jimski

Blimey Balders, and here,s me thinking you had led a quiet life like me. :unamused:

Stuart,

As Tony Mapsons Lawyer I wish to say that those photographs should not be allowed into the public domain, until I get a restraining order from the courts on Tuesday morning,I would also add my client kept his shorts on at all times  I rest my case (not the one with the pics in it)

Sue Grabbit & Run

p.s. If they appear on E Bay I’m sure a fair price will be obtained
