I just looked at the Dutch picture and thought I remember the truck but not the super singles. Scrolling down to the picture in your yard confirmed that I haven’t completely lost my mind.
I always used to see it turning in LeHavre and I remember once having coffee with the driver on the Italian side of the Freujus tunnel back in the late 90s. He was pulling an STS tilt IIRC. Always liked the look of that one it looking instantly Dutch.

Ole Scattercash keeps me employed UK or Spain, here I am part way thru a repair on his Hyundri Terrorcan, enjoying the glorious 24deg heat (I’m sorry if you have SAD syndrome in the UK at this festive time) but things dont stop in the IHT world just because of the Queens speech (3D this year you know, I have my glasses ready).
So have a safe and enjoyable Christmas time and take care out there in 2013.

I’ve worked with Ian on a couple of occasions. He came over a while back and spent several days with us here in Brittany with his family… We kept in touch until about 18 months ago when our computer went ■■■’s up and I lost all my e-mail addresses, his included, and didn’t have a telephone number for his new address. Last time I spoke to him, he was living in Fordingbridge. I didn’t know him when he had his wagons, although I did use to see them, always clean and tidy. Pity he’s not on the site, as I’m sure he’d have plenty of photo’s and tales to tell
I remember Ian Root when he drove for Parmiters at Tisbury, before he had his own trucks
