Rich got to admit that old 89 does look the muts nuts but pictures always look better than the thing in the flesh but it do sound nice on the video, have a look and listen yourself. The price is a bit rich to but when you start to restore something the cost can run away with it and you always spend to much, cheers Buzzer.

Not sure if this has been on before but anyone know where this Wynn’s Pacific was when this pic was taken?

Ha Ha, no not me on the roof but I remember when that loco was displayed at Beaulieu with a carrage apparently from the Orient Express, think it might have been used as a cafe but not sure. Live just up the road at Fawley when I am in the UK.

Anybody read the Classic & Vintage Commercials magazine, in the November issue there is a piece about Eddie Harper & his life in Livestock Transport.
It started with a issue further back showing 2 BN Gray lorries loading livestock onto a plane at Blackbushe, I dropped the editor a line saying I did a couple of jobs for Joe Gray & attached a couple of pics.
It was followed up bu further enquires & they did this piece on Eddie, We must bow if we see him as he is now MBE thats almost royal?
They also show my photos so I will sign your copies if you want, I dont think I will crushed in the rush■■?
Jeremy
ps MaggieD have you got his phone number or address by any chance.
pps Happy Christmas to everyone

Hi Jeremy,
I think I’ve got Eddie’s number somewhere I’ll let you know,do you remember “Kinger” on Joe Grays, I remember him one day at Aosta clearing customs,he was waiting for the vet to inspect some pigs he had on,to pass the time he was walking round the compound with one of the pigs on a bit of string, the agent came out shouting that it had won first prize at Smithfield and the Italian who had bought it would not be too happy as he had paid a lot of Lira for it !! (Another one of John’s Mary Hopkins moments) :unamused:
Kinger was a lovely bloke used to carry Prince Charles polo ponies sometimes with Charlie in the trailer.

Regards
Richard

Yes Richard, i remember him I went to Portugal with him, We had a puncture on his truck at the Tue border spent about an hour beating the spare off its carrier the wheel took even longer to get off then we stop off in a restaurant & had braised kidneys (Tina Turner Moment),
sadly he was inbetween cancer ops & had the bag fitted
