Sorry to report the death of Stan Mathews RIP
I have just had Mick Hennesy come in and he has made some enquiries with Stan’s daughter about Stan!
Sad to say Stan died 3 years ago November from prostrate cancer apparently he knew something was wrong but just left it and when he did eventuallygo to the doctor it was too late and he went dowhill very quickly.

That is very sad news about Stan ,he was the first driver i ever took on and a very good servant and actually he was the man who introduced me to rollups for which in later i became noted for hangin out of the corner of my mouth,lit or not.RIP Stan you were a goodun.

Hi Richard I did not know of any rally in the Savernake Forest but there are a few RV Clubs that all hold rallies mate.

I have put that pic on it was from about June 1982 and the first and only brand new Scania I ever bought! The pic was taken at Morville Trucks Lutterworth I traded in a Scania 111 WHJ183S, I did not tax that 142 till August and it became KOW496Y.

Not sure if it’s the same man but there was a man in Berwick St John near Shaftsbury who had a Scammell all done up a friend oof mine who lived there called Andy Warby called the Scammell man Nutty Norman!!!

It was a copy of one of my Bro in Laws fotos from and “event” he went to, it didn’t come from a magazine. Just in case there are any copyrite law suits pending!
Where ever the event was Peter Symonds sweets were there.
