I remember Stevens from Great Ayton Bill, regular sight on the A19 and A1 with long loads. Here’s another combination of theirs, the four-in-line spoils it though.

Chris ,I’ve got to say that this shot is a total joke, even though it is “historical”!! an Octopus “tractor” coupled to a 4 in-line trailer I just hope there was more weight on the Octopus than the trailer!!! More for effect than practicality like a lot of things in the 50’s & 60’s! Did you watch North West news to-night Whoooosh!!! I’m going to start wearing a crash helmet ,permanent like, if they’er going to start launching space shots from the island!!! Every man for 'imself, take cover, Webby could have pressed the button!! Cheers Dennis.

Hi Vic,if that’s the driver and he gets a flat on that abortion of a trailer he’ll not look as tidy as that for long.
Stevens,Brunskill,Stiller,Econofreight,Siddle Cook and RAH Transporters plus others all carried that sort of stuff.

Well Dennis you are all safe in Lancs,a warhead wouldn’t cause much damage wherever it landed in t’Red Rose County.
Are you trying to say I’m of an unstable nature?
Now where’s that co-ordinates map…

Are you suggesting that there’s not much ‘int Red Rose county that hasn’t bin damaged already,or that the “trajectory” oft’ rocket wouldn’t be high enough to go over’t Pennines and land where you intended?

Well I wouldn’t want it to land in God’s own County of Yorks would I? Next stop would be Germany but I suppose Wiili Betz would just bring it back.
Anyroad in case of retaliation we are moving t’Isle of Man to other side of Ireland or sheltering in Galloway.
Heres Frank Willis’s immaculate 1958 SuperComet (Tyne Tees Run 2011). Thats a nice little FG alongside it.

What a lovely motor. Not be like that very long though, she’ll get some miles in knowing McKelvies
The first (& only) Leyland I ever had was a ’ Roadrunner’. Got It brand new beginning of '86. I was looking forward to It until It arrived. That paper thin drivers seat with the air pump behind the seat to add air to the backrest
.
I’d love too know what happened to It. C716 HUD…
