A hard working Leyland Comet hauled animal feeds from Avonmouth,Cardiff and Barry Docks from 1960 until 1967,back to Kington,Herefordshire,also loaded with bags of grain into the Docks from Herefordshire farms.

Used to see these going up and down the A6 / M6 what happened to them ?
(nice pic) I seem to remember they had a large fleet Leylands / Sed Atkis (in 2 tone blue methinks) and yard next to M6 Northbound at Haydock Island, Newton side (big pallet farm stood there) suppose they must have had cash flow probs because they were all parked up in a lovely line - then disappeared into oblivion (or Malcolm Harrisons)

them FG’s - National Tyres had loads of em, god they were a weird thing to drive (you had to keep your socks clean coz everyone could see your feet!)

Not me Dennis,that was a young whippersnapper learning t’ropes.I’d already done two loads on a night shift and was waiting to be interviewed by t’shop steward for spoiling job.
