I guess it would be hot if you were stood watching,in your underpants,at 2 am, and the cab was well alight!!

Calor gas night heaters were about in the 80’s, some carried a small caravan size gas bottle on the catwalk but on a really cold night the gas would freeze making them useless !

that happened when i worked for victor thompson ned nixon in his crackers and rigger boots in davidsons at penrith but it was an electrical fire to do with some spotlights wired up wrong
