Can anyone remember Greens haveing a twin steer ERF unit as I can for the wrong reason. I was working for Fred Wrights Selby and going up Butterley hill Ripley and a milk float cut me up and I had to stop the float stoped in a pub yard half way up the hill so I jumped out ran accross the road started to drag the person out of the van looked up to see my Seddon Artic steady going backwards .I was loaded with loose ended timber and the noise it makes as it goes through the front end of a plastic cab is not nice the motor behind was the ERF of Greens. Whoops as it was I had sat the inner set of wheels on top of the kerb and momentem had rolled her back. Luckily no one was hurt just my pride and the milkman peed of was not caught.
len green had two twin steer erfs this one-driver-jim turner & one with the later slatted grill-probably due to the incident u refer to -alan copyright dave parkin
