Hi revman it is possible that our paths may have crossed as I worked for Syd Woods for a bit up to him finishing and I was running blooms from Templeborough to Parkgate for a while with one of Trusswells (Pete was the Trussie’s driver) into the stock yard and the mills,that is if you were on ABS.

no never with abs but first job when i started at parkgate was running ingots from templebro then later billets across town with parkgate erf .did you see sid wood photo in classic commercials;alan

can you remember allan jones [my dad] . he worked for len greens late 60s earl 70s . said it was the best co he worked for. he told me that many stories i feel as though i worked there myself. all of them good though.
hi carl i worked with your dad he had a dennis maxim same as me his was fleet no 3 twy812f .we started more or less together 1967 - 1970 last time i saw him was at h browns loading at sentinel wire neepsend -alan
is this mr graham . have you heard lateley of pete kitchen ? no 1 driver. big al was just wondering who are the other 2 lads with alf leadbetter , he just cant make them out. He also was telling me about johnny burden s flat fronted AEC, a V8 that only fired on 7 (theres not many V 7s about ) . that was a great article in ,i think it was , classic commercials . great to see all your photos.Thanks alan.
