Ok I have been working class 1 tramping for a year now and like services best but going to try industrial estates. What do you like and do best
I tend to drive out and find a country lane layby but a good layby set back on an A road suits, traffic noise doesnt bother me
Ind estates near town centres or supermarkets and lore/coach parks like Upton On Severn and Worcester.
Ind est every time. Preferably next to a little factory that’s open all night.
Never park in services as they are just a rip off do not use lay-bys mostly park down Felixstowe docks as it’s safe parking and a couple of good pubs in easy walking distance or ind estates tonight I am on an ind estate in Coventry with a Ping meal and outback truckers on the telly
I have always refused to park at services. Recently i have used laybys but the last 2 Sundays have seen me parking at the ferryport. Its nice to have a shower in the morning even if the lights are on a timer that i think deliberately cuts the lights when you are bollock naked. There is no sensor in the shower room so you have to go into the foyer to get them back on
Like Steve says … industrial estates … quiet and within walking distance of town centre or out of town supermarket cafe … always had a good nights sleep in an indy estate plus lots of cameras
Lots of dirty gopping gits here who seem happy not to bother getting a shower and who must be defecating in carrier bags and washing the wheels when they want a wizz.

You never heard of getting a shower and going to the bog before you park up??
Oh and if I need a ■■■■ in the night I use a thing called an empty water bottle then throw it away when I find the nearest bin.

What a stupid comment. Why can’t I shower and use the loo in a services before I park up?

LOL yep sure do then fire it all out the windows when passing through Driffield to improve your surroundings, get real for ffs use the services to get cleaned up at the end of the day then go and park up not exactly rocket science or maybe it is for you.

Hardly a surprise from him though is it. What with his narrow little view of the world

You obviously arnt v savie you shower before you park up and use the loo we are not toddlers and barring a dodgy ruby murry I can generally go a night without needing a dump
As for washing if a shower is not avalable I find baby wipes n shower gell works fine until I make it to a shower
Any way back on topic I generally park in ind areas and try and find one nr a tesco 24 hr as the loos are generally open all night
I only carry building materials so am generally safe from theiving gypolas obviously if I was carrying x box ones I would find somwhere more secure
All these truckers only one step up from a gippo…
If your company won’t pay for you to park in a truckstop/services find a better employer. Bet you’ve got a nice shiny motor but are on £7/hr as well.
My company will pay for parking I just don’t get a good night sleep in services with refers and trailer swaps and night trunks and various starting of trucks to charge batteries ect

Don’t like truckstops/ MSAs. Too noisy, too smelly, food no good, I wouldn’t park in them if they were free unless I absolutely had to.

I don’t have a shiney motor. Am I doing something wrong. Can’t mind the last services or truckstop I parked in. I prefer solitude. The thought of parking with the likes of you makes my skin crawl.

Sorry to break it to you old bean but our travelling friends generally sleep and live in much better accommodation than any of us. Parking in services doesn’t make you any better, just makes you more tolerant of parking areas stinking of ■■■■, endless noise all night and second rate food. So I’d climb down off your high horse old chap, and pull in your puffed out chest, you’re no better than the rest of us, just more annoying and a bit more gullible.
