Kevchalluk's random pics - LOTS of pics...UPDATED MARCH 2013

Ringrose:
Hi, Just come aross your thread.I am trying to get as many pictures of Hewson Brothers together and note one was of a Transconti and yes Wheelnut is right, this is causing creamy knickers…! even more so because I cannot see it.
Unfortunately the thread does not register any of those pictures anymore, just a red cross.Any chance you can load them again ? I also remember sitting in one of the Hudson Ward 141 when it was new in their premises as a young boy ! I remember they also had 2 rigid F 86’s.
Also any other pictures of Hewson Brothers ? Ringrose, SA Evison ? How about this for a long shot - Anthony Williams ? or Fred J Wright.Heres hoping.
Regards, Bryan.

Hi Ringrose

Don’t think I have any other Hewson, Ringrose or Wrights pics. I used to go out with drivers from Wrights in Goole in my summer hols when I was about 13 - I wrote them a letter asking if I could go out as a driver’s mate and just used to turn up at the office at 4am and get in with whoever would take me. Plenty of trips to the west midlands taking coils!

I’ve got a pic of Hudson Ward’s 141 but I’ve not got round to uploading it yet - fingers crossed I will be purchasing a new laptop this weekend so keep your eyes peeled!

It`s easy to forget all the different copanies that were about pics bring them all back keep em coming kev

Thanks Kev, look forward to more pictures and the Hudson Ward 141.Did you take any pictures of Ellerpack ( post Hewson Brothers ) ? Tony Lloyd used to park his F10 next to the Peacock pub and Arthur parked his Transconti and then DAF just off Pasture Road ? Regards, Ringrose.

Wilsons had a Paris?? depot and the name on the truck(s) was “Wilhussons” in order for the French to get the name right when speaking!

I reckon this must be one of Norberts first before he went on a European spending spree!

Yeah the Brian Smith F16 was at Dover, he was running with the Moody Scanias. I was on a school trip to the south of France (27 hours non-stop on a bus!) and spent my time in Dover running around taking as many pics as I could!

That Dentressanlge Saviem makes me laugh too when you consider what a monstrous firm they are now!

Kev. was Richard Fawbert working at Chantrys when you used to visit? He has his own motors now in Goole trading as J S Johnson.

All these trucks have a common link, the V8 Scania was painted the same colour as the FH and owned by Mark Simpson and then sold to Tony Ogden who also owns the Daf 95 and the 3300, it ran fridges for Parkland International when the tank job was quiet.

Kevchall or FH16, have you any photos of Pete Hutchinsons Mercedes SK? He always ran the 320hp V10’s

proper paint scheme like it

great pics mate cheers

Wheelnut - yeah Fawbert is/was a farmer in Hook so I know his name. I think Dave Walker drives for Johnson, or at least he used to.

I’ve got a pic of Parrott’s Scania in the red paintjob somewhere, from a truck show I think. Don’t see him about much any more, dunno if he’s packed it in.

Carl - I agree. Great trucks in a great colour scheme!

we used to run F312 EDB which was a little p cab 113, which ended up being r shunter with no windscreen

no pics sorry its well gone !!

bloody hell kev, keep those pictures coming :grimacing: :grimacing: :grimacing: :grimacing: brilliant stuff.
