I will put those names to my Dad he started ther e about 1986 i think started with a renault ,then a couple of 3300 on A and B plates then he had a 6 legger merc on a B plate before having a new merc 1735 i think on a G plate .

It just get’s better daf3300 There is one on every big firm, We were in Winsford loading rock salt a few years ago, parked up loaded and having a brew before we set off, one driver was back and forth trying to get the weight spot on, he pulled up to us just as we were about to go faceing the wrong way all the room on the world to spin around. not him full lock oxed it round flat out took three trailor tyres off of the rims!!!

Short skirts indeed, if they were any shorter, they would have been called a belt iirc
One of the tyre fitters i worked with went on to drive for JWQ but didnt last long because he didnt like nights out

steve yes it was true about that driver he didnt last long , and do you remember that driver who put one in a ditch in essex one of the 280,s got out unharmed but electrocuted his self when he tried to get back in cab he had knocked a lamp over and truck was live , and do you remember roger who kept getting his 310 hit when parked at traffic lights , oh happy days

it was the one opposite linpac we used to have the crisp company down the side.
that was after my time there, i started in 76 and left with regret 1986 they were still at worton grange , but had a couple of hangers on the airfield
