Heres the only photo i have of one of jack fielders motors ,it would be going in the book if it had a load of wool on, but its a good load anyway. Today they,d have a load like this on a lowloader pulled with at least 500hp;

not a very good photo,franks motor again.

A Fielders in a typical dock side scene,the motors grey because it was on contract to Joseph Dawson of Bradford and driven by my late father Syd Henry.

This is an interesting shot hamsterx must be liverpool or hull with a motor lick that ,we need to talk these would be great in book im doing ?

Ithought that this was apropriate on the ashworth thread as Keith Bell worked there a couple of times ,he worked in the garage and was an eccelent mechanic. he lived up thornton rd near crocket.

Hi scud,did keith bell work at a one transport as a fitter,was a bit of a wild card but a good fitter,as you say crocket was he dave who also came to a one on the cab job,sorry to ask this are they both with us .keith

Hamster how have you come across all the ashworths photos would it be possible to get copies of them all as i am organising a reunion and want to put a picture wall with as many ashworth photos as i can get my hands on thanks

Hi keith2 ,yes he did work at a one also at arthur mitchells and jack bells, i dont know if either of them are still with us though,keith was never really well.

Your doing fine with the computer scrap man ,Il be coming to see you sometime about metcalfe photos you must have some?

crockett was dave he did the cab job at ashworths then when they finished he came to a one on the same job he passed away some time ago

Had 2 albums but they went missing out of cab at Bronte Gathering, not sure if I lent them to someone, old age ha ha :smiley:

This must have been late 1950’s because I started there early 60’s and they didn’t have an Albion then, also note only ropes holding the tractor on, typical of the days.
