Idont know when the photo of the albion was taken it was given to me by an old mate of my dads called Leo Horsefall who worked at bells. We had two motors on for Fielders in the 1960s, mainly on dock work but also jobs such as butterfield tanks and paper out of the mill at tadcaster. Did you know Raymond Collinge i think he had an 8 wheeler .

I have been talking to an ex H Baker driver today and he said Bakers have a scrapbook and a wall full of their old motors ,it may be worth calling in and asking for a look to see if anything is suitable for your book

Apparently this Albion set on fire on the M6 and was destroyed much to the delight of the drivers but not the Bakers

Here is a photograph of one of the fleet , possibly in their early years of livestock haulage .
I attended the Kirkby Stephen Rally at the weekend , and saw the A.E.C. , with its imposing white bumper .
In the cab windows , were various photographs of some of the fleet from years-gone-by.
One photo was of an A.E.C. 8 wheeler cattle wagon . Does anyone have other photos of the other cattle wagons which would be welcome on here or on the Yorkshire Livestock thread , please ?
Cheers , cattle wagon man .
the erf was a burgundy colour a series then it got painted i think not sure where it was from dont know any firms ashworths bought out ,i know after the big sell off some trailers were sprayed yellow as i believe jack was going to start up again but it never happened maybe dib dib or jack may have more idea about this

Del my dad seems to think frank mcquade got the big j you used to drive and he also remembers taking the lowloader to germany loaded outbound with harvester crawlers and returning with combine harvesters
glad your dad only took the trailer ! the Guy was a slow, slow truck. 49 mph.
reg no was WAK 705K, with a RR Eagle engine, IIRC 200hp.
the trailer was a bit ■■■■■■■■■■ too, with it being a swan neck with no hydraulics etc.
