Allways will have the greatest respect and a big softspot for what must be one of the few remaining real !!! general haulage companie"s .
Now that I see all the posts from my original post and all the comments similar to my own my respect for the company now has become even greater . The company I presume is still run by the family , who in turn run the company in a sensible fashion ie . the purchasing of vehicles etc . the retension of good drivers , mechanics , and office staff etc . To maintain a good customer base in an area of the county that has suffered greatly from the present recession and also in the past is of great credit to the company .

Well I remember Scouser, & Peter Green [RIP], also Big Fred Robinson I dont know if he is still about its a long time since I spoke to him, he refered to to Scouser as Yohan Struass, Fred was a great bloke & could he drink, he could put a pint away before the barmaid gave him his change, Regards Larry, Mind you Cragsey took some beating too.

Larry, what about Jackie Rutherford (RIP) he would drink brown ale strained through a camels arse! his great pal for many years Jimmy Mitchell also worked for “Jakey”. Also Jimmy Rutherford, (no relation to Jackie) he also (I think) ran the Tanners Arms on Byker Bridge. Regards Kev.
Aye a forgot about those ones, but of course the mem is not as good as it used to be, I remember when Jimmy worked for Larrow Transport some years ago, Also John Menzies he was a great pal of Jacky, Regards Larry.
