As far as I know, Havent heard any complaints about them I was talking to the Fleet Engineer David & he said they were going ok, Regards Larry.

Great photo that, remember when the crusader came out the evnin kron had a little bit in the motor section
about the crusader and a photo of a J R Adams crusader unit. :slight_smile:

Aye they ran quite a few of these, Apparentley old Jimmy swore by them, & I do know that they drivers liked them, They were good performers & allways fully loaded, Regards Larry.

A question Larry,is Port of Tyne a Local authority,council,owned outfit ? I saw one of their new Volvos on the A6 to-day,what sort of traffic do they haul ? ex port on the outward trip but do they operate as general hauliers otherwise ? Just interested as to why a Port authority would believe they could operate motors more efficiently than say Adams or Waugh or even L.S.Dunbar for that matter! Just interested,Cheers Dennis.
