Snowman 1 Can you remember that some of the tables had tubular legs & used to drop out if they were lifted up ■■?, As I learnt on night when I did lift one of them up, This would be about 1960ish, ■■?, Regards Larry.

Snowman 1 , where are you, I know you have just come onto this thread but you must have some good tales to tell about your days working in the café when all the Geordies used to call in, I must say mind the grub was good Old Clem did a great Bacon Sarnie, In fact it was refered to as a jaw breaker If I recall correctly, As said before the good old days & nights, Regards Larry.

I wonder whats happened to all the old gits that have spent most of their working lives grafting at Adams,s7 If I may say so a lot of the long servers didn’t have a good world for them, But I must say all the years ive known the Adams,s I allways looked upon them as good employers who did look after their drivers etc, I worked for JRA, For quite a while as an owner driver, Then when I decided to chuck it as the old saying goes , James Adams offered me a job which I took at the drop of a hat, , & I worked for him until I retired at 66.A great family run company IMO , Who as ive said before look after their drivers, Theres not many firms that come into this catergory IMO, Regards Larry.

A few more from Richie, Regards Larry.
