They don’t take DKV,AS24, ESSO.etc… Only their version and credit cards. Unless it’s changed!
get a telepass, Should be available around Aosta.
You can use shell cards, and if you fill up with diesel you get toll credits.
Credit cards, cash, ViaPass cards - can buy pre-paid at the services or a screen tag. But not as far as I am aware, Fuel cards…
As you may know, head lights on in the day time, lots of good Lavaza coffee to be had, the double expresso will keep you awake for a week.
If you want a place to park in Milan, try Gamco`s yard on Via Mestre, then a ten minute walk to the tube station to the city centre on the red line.

What about Dkv ■■
Turnip, to my knowledge they don’t accept any fuel card of any type, DKV, UTA, Euroshell, etc.
I stand to be corrected. Not much use to you i know, but I have a couple of Via Pass pre-paid cards for my trucks, saves the hassle. I think you can get something similar from service stations, although mine came through my fuelcard company.
Sorry I can’t be of more help.
If you get to Brescia try the truck stop off the toll road, it has a gym, car rental so if stuck for the weekend you can tour the lakes, good cafes and restaurants and the drivers menu fixed price.Motel for drivers with reduced rates.
Thanks all trying to sort a via card out bbit last minute but hey that’s transport. Probably end up using cash.
Viacards, wouldn’t except shell euro the other week ■■ Telepass from Aosta’s ya best bet, least you can tram through the tolls at 30mph

Where abouts in Aosta ? Is it the garage at the auto port ■■ What’s the score with them ? Do they register to a card or do you open an account ?
Only take via card or telepass
Or visa
Got my via and telepass through dkv
But can get through most major fuel cards
Dont know about buting anywhere enroute know you could by a pay as u go via years ago
Can use fuel cards for blanc/frejus and cheaper to get return on frenxh side
But has tobe used in 14 days
Ive got seperate card for the tunnels and cheaper than a return
And as said remember your headlights during the day
I once saw a sign at a tunnel to remove sunglasses with a fine attached if you did not, makes sense.
Things might have changed but I remember when we got our first telepass that if you stopped overnight between peages it used to throw a wobbler and you had to pay with the viacard. That was back around 2000ish.
Mind once you got your confidence up you could go through at around 30mph but to start with it felt like you would be taking the barrier with you. Just make sure you haven’t gt an Italian on the tailgate because they won’t ease off and if you do it makes for some interesting communications.
Cheers

They won’t take my Shell or Esso card so I always pay in cash, their card machines can be temperamental with Credit Cards and with those I-Ti’s tooting away when your fannying around at the booth I find it easier with cash…

Yup , I used cash & it was dead easy. I was quite impressed with their automatic cash machines too. Very simple & work a treat. Only downside was the queue at the tangenziale when all the telepass and via card users went flying by. But in reality it was only 2 minutes and their was a pretty girl in the car next to me.
