And his colleagues. When I read about the accident on the local teletext on the Saturday morning, for some reason, his face immediately sprang to mind.
He always struck me as a keen worker with a zest for life.
Although not before realising the family connection, I knew his father Cliff, when he worked in the offices at Salvesons’s. For him, it was never too much trouble to explain things, or to say ‘Thanks’ at the end of a day. A gent.
Sadly missed. RIP.
