Our School has a great working relationship with the examiners so no problem standing in on the test. I must say i feel as though i am sending the candidates to test ill prepaired. I have tried to do all the correct things (including buying the DSA demonstration trolley) and teaching them the questions posted kindly by Peter. I don’t like all the secrets that surround this test. If any more questions are available i would love to have a look.
I know exactly what you mean and totally empathise with you. Suggest you try and get an open forum at the test centre. For years DSA have maintained “we’re all on the same side” and suddenly it’s all regressed 30 years and gone all secretive. But I’ve found the DSA more than helpfull when the issue has been pointed out.
Out of interest Peter, will your test centre be shown on the DSA stastics as a seperate test centre for results
I don’t know - but interesting question. The centre has been listed as “closed” since it opened (that’s the DSA for you!!). This is done to prevent the call centre selling tests as these can only be booked through the school. Whether that means the results won’t be published in the normal way, I don’t know. Certainly not worried about them. We’re the same as any other trainer who dare tell the truth. We have very good days, very bad days and most of them fall between the two!

Good News - first candidate passed module 4 today! - The examiner was professional and helpfull and had no problem with me sitting in on the test.

Just a quick report to let you all know how i went on in my cpc mod4 test
i was asked 1 question about the fuel system
1 question was asked about daily checks inside and out
1 question about immigration and check i would make
1 question about the height and lenght of vehicle
1 question how i would enter and exit the vehicle
Is there any chance that someone could post a daily walk around check list for members to print off so they can read it daily in order to remember it or read it through the forums…? I’ve been searching online etc and can’t find one.

I made a point of “sitting in” on the module 4 tests. As long as the trainee and examiner are happy then there is no reason you can’t be present.
I also wrote a useful blog on possible questions and answers realted to the Module 4 tests on my blog.
It’s not brilliant, but it may help.
