Brexit stand to get some extra votes from places like London and Scotland - where, if you listen to the pundits - a “local” result nearing 100% for remain is implied!
Since every vote counts - should Remain “only” win by a say, 60/40 margin in London and Scotland in particular then - I suggest that Brexit are doing “very well indeed, and will probably win by a comfortable margin overall”.
Realistically Leave never stood much of a chance. On that note the interesting question is then how many times historically has the secessionist Nation State v Federation argument ever been settled democratically or even amicably.
If we follow history, we’d be repeating it in that "Remain cannot lose, and war a few years down the line when we REALLY decide to ‘leave the EU’ - then becomes inevitable.
What happens for starters - when the EU decides to take East Ukraine back for the Kiev Borgias? - We’d be roped into a war with Russia.
If we were “not in the EU” by that point - the EU would never dare be so bold as to provoke WWIII for real as it were…
Unless we rule out Turkey joining the EU ever - we risk Turkey ALSO provoking WWIII with Russia at some point as well - actually closer than we think, bearing in mind how Turkey already seem to Bait Russia, and run back behind the skirts of NATO to defy them any kind of retaliation… Another “Borgia” style government there as well then.

Do some people really believe that bringing up things from the 1970’s is really relevant to the vote today?
Unbelievable!
It’s as relevant as it gets because it’s the last reference point we’ve got that gives the indoctrinated younger generations an idea of a non EU member UK within EFTA.Feel free to make the case as to what supposedly ‘improved’,both politically and economically and in terms of workers’ rights, after 1972.
While I’m sure you are salivating at the opportunity to debate the question of what has improved mate, but you misunderstand. My comment was about it being silly to try and use scare tactics like the list above of strikes/issues back in the 1970, as they (no matter what) could happen now. Like you, I agree that workers rights are now pants!
But I’ve chosen to do a little extra and have locked up a load of remain voters in a container for 24 hours.
They will be OK though, I’ve left them a generator, plenty of petrol and a TV so they can watch the result!
Nightlord:
If we leave will I still be able to drink Stella & Perroni? #priorities!
Stella yes because it’s brewed in the uk (now watered down liffey water ) due to this government taxing anything over 5% at a higher rate , Perroni Cn’t see why not, though buying in the uk is best avoided because it’s grossly overpriced here even in the likes of ASDA

Not very good for long-term world peace - is it?
Absolutely. The remainers are all shouting about ‘peace’ and ‘workers’ rights’ when the facts on the ground and history are all against them.Whether it be the difference in the wage and employment regime pre 1972 v 1973 on.Or inconvenient examples like what heppened in Yugoslavia in 1991,or the possibility of Blair and co making the Iraq war look like a friendly match rehearsal for the main event against Russia.

While my point was even the ‘scare tactics’ script doesn’t fit the facts of the pre 1973 UK economy.IE we didn’t have long drawn out counterproductive strikes at ‘that’ time because the employment environment and union strength meant that the ‘strikes’ in question were over and sorted quickly usually in the workers’ favour.Unlike what happened later.
In which case how can the remainers make any bs ‘workers rights’ stance stick ?.

Looks like the bbc bias news reporting in action again, the bbc should be scrapped imo as it doesn’t represent the people of this country, it’s pro EU pro establishment and pro elitist , and maybe pro-■■■■■■■■■■ as well ,should we be supporting such an organisation financially ( licence fee)?
How ironic that one of the industries that has most benefited from workers rights under the EU seems hell bent on flushing them down the toilet with every Leave vote they cast!

Utterly retarded.
If you can’t see what the future holds for our industry with TURK-IN and Cabotage scrappage, then it appears you are a classic example of the pot calling the kettle!

Turkey have been trying to get in since 1987…,
They have to tick 35 boxes (actually called ‘chapters’)…since 1987, 29 yrs ago, they have ticked ONE out of the 35…,.so not going to be joining anytime soon…
Plus, if we are in the EU we get to veto any membership we don’t want…if we leave…we don’t get a say!
But carry on believing the scare tactics of Farage and chums…
Done my bit for queen and country. Didn’t think I’d make it after 7 hours on the A13 though. Loads of people at my station, far higher than the past 2 gens and the mep vote. Always go around the same time too. I wouldn’t be surprised for a near 90% turn out

They dont need to tick boxes. They just have to say if they don’t join they will let the migrants in and give them a map to Germany.

Cameron is at the forefront of the discussions for Turkish membership . . .
. . . and if we leave . . . we don’t need a say!
And if we want to continue to trade with the EU we will need to accept the same regulations…and one of those will be…open borders…so they’ll still come!
Albeit not for probably another 90 years or so when they have managed to tick the remaining 34 boxes…

Well even if it’s in 90 years, this is a once in a generation vote. I’d like to keep us safe for my great grandchildrens sake
