Plus, if we are in the EU we get to veto any membership we don’t want…if we leave…we don’t get a say!

Cameron is at the forefront of the discussions for Turkish membership . . .

. . . and if we leave . . . we don’t need a say!

And if we want to continue to trade with the EU we will need to accept the same regulations…and one of those will be…open borders…so they’ll still come!

Albeit not for probably another 90 years or so when they have managed to tick the remaining 34 boxes…

Well even if it’s in 90 years, this is a once in a generation vote. I’d like to keep us safe for my great grandchildrens sake

I have seen reports that we would pay a “fee” in place of free movement. Whilst that isn’t “free” trade the fact it is being considered even before the vote makes me sure something would be sorted. That’s even assuming everyone else doesn’t leave anyway!

Exactly!

And ■■■■■, who has said that the box ticking is linear?

Just because the first box took 29yrs as you say doesn’t mean the second box will also take 29yrs and so on, the remaining boxes could be completed in 6 months for all we know.

So tell us exactly what is the EU going to do about it if/when we tell Juncker to zb off.Let me guess you’re another one who thinks that the Krauts are going to let Juncker apply tarrifs to their own exports to ‘punish’ us. :unamused:

If Turkey isn’t joining for at least 90 years why does the Europhile zb Cameron seem to be so keen to get involved in getting them in.90 years you’re avin a laugh.

Really and did the same ‘reports’ also say what the EU would do about it if we say no.

No. My point is that a deal will be done. What deal I or noone else knows. But done it will be

What would be the point of getting our sovereignty back if we’re still going to let the EU blackmail us from a point of trade surplus weakness.By that logic this soft touch country deserves to be screwed and will be.

Why would they blackmail us? They are backtracking and the results aren’t even out yet

Because they really listen to us in Brussels don’t they :open_mouth: :unamused:

the unelected in Brussels aren’t too dissimilar to the shower of ■■■■■ we have here in the uk to be fair ,and this rabble we have running the show now apparently were elected , i wonder if they would of been if we had a proportional representation voting system in the uk?

Problem is, what is a viable alternative to the tory scum? Labour in it’s present form definitely not they would flood this country with Taliban and EU migrants lib dims even worse, ukip too similar to dodgy daves crew imo, the greens , again would flood the uk , and tax us to the hilt on dumb tree hugging eco ideas, monster raving looney party, well could it be any worst than it is now?

None are working for us,we need some new blood in politics

What ‘unelected’ would that be?

The MEP’s…who we elect?

The Comissioners…who are nominated by each member state…you know, the government that we elected…who are then subject to approval by the European Parliament made up of MEP’s who we…elect?

Who?

Who are they? Who are these supposedly unelected people that govern our country from Europe?

But you’re only basing that on ‘the type’ of Tories and ‘Labour’ Parties we’ve had.IE all following their own strict agendas of Non Fordist Capitalism and Unionism/Federalism in the case of the Cons and Socialism in the case of Labour both being effectively similar ideologies at the end of the day.On that note I don’t think we’d be having this discussion ‘if’ Powell and Shore had won out respectively over Heath,Thatcher,Wilson and Callaghan and thereby probably all the no hopers who followed them since. :bulb:

Feel free to explain how Federal Qualified majority Vote means democratic accountability among our MEP’s when they have no right of opt out, substitution and VETO for their own country. On that note the bs MEP system is more likely to produce the situation of Socialist MEP’s here being able to take advantage of the Socialist vote across the channel to add to their own.Which is why zb Socialists like the idea because it multiplies their electoral mandate by taking advantage of a foreign vote.

Meanwhile tell us how do we kick out the EU commissioners and who the zb voted for dictatorial scumbags like Juncker here. :unamused:
