In or Out- the EU referendum mega thread

Alex White of the eiu has just admitted they came to the forecasts internally, and said he couldn’t give an answer how they came up with it. David Mellor accused him of making it up, he said no comment. That sums up the remain campaign. I’m so proud to be British today. We didn’t fall for the lies

Great day for england ,

You mean for the United Kingdom
Maybe some control can be restored it may take time but it will happen

Not so great for Scotland or Northern Ireland as they both voted to remain.

I totally agree with you. I was only pointing out the other had voted to remain.

Blair was almost in tears when he said it was a sad day for him. Hilarious. Not surprised with what they pay him. He’ll probably join the Kinnocks on a suicide pact

There won’t be an eu in 2 years

It will take longer than that, but this result will definitely change the union. Will it destroy it? Impossible to say yet.

In the long run I think leaving is a mistake. We do not live in the 18th century. Britain is not a world power. We rely on others for everything we need. You have been sold out by a band of opportunists (out to make a quick buck) and rose spectacled nationalists, who think that you will now sent forth and start planting the union flag all over the globe again.

The only reason America humours you with a 'special relationship ’ is because this island buy it’s weapons, and is a convenient entry point into Europe. America’s involvement in the war was purely economically motivated.

China will laugh at you, and buy what ever infastructure is left to sell.

A very large part of the world has scores to settle. I don’t think they’ll welcome their erstwhile masters back with open arms.

Think youre right there Jay.Maybe not two,but certainly in the near future. Dusting down my old briefcase and T forms as we speak! As well as the economic picture changing, theres a geezer in Russia rubbing his hands at this moment.Get the bunker ready as well I fear.

Can you Welsh/English lads have a referendum now to expel us Scots/N Irish from the UK please ?

How long until he uses brexit as an excuse to swerve it? God, politics has made me so cynical over the past 20 years :open_mouth:

Now for the important question!
I was about to renew my passport, but what should I do now?

Have we? do tell us whats changed

The value of the pound for a start. If anyone was under the impression you’d wake up today after an Exit vote and all of a sudden you’re passport won’t allow you into France then you’re pretty silly. Apart from the money markets (and Daves almost surprise resignation) the years of European membership will need to be unpicked and have alternatives put in place. This will take years not hours, days or weeks.

Today is the first day of the rest of ower lives

Gladly another sponge that needs ringing out.

You Welsh then ?
