Seems like they’ve always been a small community, but decades of invasions and persecution has seen a virtual demise of them and that is unlikely to get any better a bit like the Christians in Iraq.
Very interesting, thank you. So it seems these poor souls really were fleeting persecution and not just after an easy life an to take Carryfasts money!
So why not go back home to where they belong amongst their own which wouldn’t involve crossing Asia and Europe to get there.IE the Punjab’s Sikh majority isn’t exactly known for being in an ethnic disaster zone. While India seems to be rich enough to buy up swathes of what remains of Britain’s industry.Maybe they should start to use the money and human resources to improve their own country instead of over loading ours. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Punjab_India
You forgot that india is alot more over populated than England
But it’s the most densely populated place in Europe.Where we’ve already got health service overloading and housing shortages not to mention areas which are already effectively different opposing ethnic colonies. All of which is likely to lead to ethnic strife in the long term which will make the ‘troubles’ in Ireland seem like a well mannered discussion.
Now back to the Afghan Sikhs. I’d be interested to know the history of Sikhs in Afghanistan
Who’s Seamus
Seamus O’Carryfast in honour of his Irish heritage
It isn’t easy having ginger eyebrows.
So is your name Seamus
No that’s just a typical fabrication dreamt up by switchlogic.
Seriously not surprisingly my Grandmother wanted to forget all about her previous life there and as I’ve said other than her family history and my nationalist sympathies in that regard there’s no other Irish links in my case.
Not really.the difference is in this country there’s no problem with me being officially CofE by my parental choice when I was christened. But as part of that rejecting most of the values held by that Church which are nothing but a compromised view of right and wrong set up to the reflect the personal desires of a dictatorial psycopathic adulterer.
It’s by proxy. It’s about nationalism and unionism, tribalism. The fight isn’t actually over religion. It just happens the vast majority of nationalists were born into a catholic background and the vast number of unionists born into a prod. It becomes an associated way of labelling the other side. One side may have had a passion for wearing red shirts, the other blue.
All the actual arguments and violence over the last 45 years aren’t over the different faiths in NI. They are about bunch A wanting to fully join one country and bunch B want to remain out of that country and remain in union with another country.

Actually it started over the Catholics trying to get the same rights as protestants
Carryfast:
But it’s the most densely populated place in Europe.
No that would be Malta, which the Daily Mail admit is the case.
And conveniently separated England from Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland to get their figure.
Personally I would have thought the readers of the Daily Mail would welcome more people into the country, after all the laws of supply and demand should mean an increase in house prices.

er so why do the Pros hate the Catholics then
Don’t ask me I’ve written my view of the CofE there which is has been widely known amongst everyone I know here in England with no problems. From what I know of it all the localised Protestant v Catholic argument in Scotland and Ireland is just a bs red herring to cover ‘other issues’ more related to unionism as opposed to nationalism.
While to my knowledge my views probably would have got me executed under Henry V111 th’s or Elizabeth 1 st’s rule but we’ve obviously got over such religeous bs years ago.

Assuming that you’re living in the South East of England where most of the immigration demand is targeted then it’s obviously the figures related to England that matter. While all the other Nimbies in the British Isles like in Scotland obviously have the luxury of being able to tell us that we have to accept even more. The laws of supply and demand in this case actually meaning turning the South East into an urban dump of even Greater London made up of what are effectively foreign colonies.

That wasn’t exactly the only or main issue how Collins etc ( rightly ) saw it and then De Valera wanted to carry on with.Freight Dog has got it more or less right.

No it said the most populated larger country in Europe.
I know it did, but you didn’t. You said its the most densely populated place in Europe, which it isn’t. You think your hard done by, go talk the the Maltese about immigration and over crowding.

Ah yes Eamon DeValera and Michael Collins, two well known Englishmen by your standards

I thought we were on about the troubles
If the troubles since then were all just about religious equality in the north there obviously wouldn’t be any ongoing issues concerning the nationalist v unionist cause there. As freight dog said it’s first and foremost an issue of nationalist v unionist with the one of religious differences just being a by product and side issue to that.
