I miss European driving and want to get back at it

I loved driving in Europe but had to stop due to braking my leg :frowning:
I’m in kent and would live to get back at it. Can’t seem to find anyone looking for drivers

We’ve got a euro job going on fridges.

Decent bloke. Decent motor. Decent work.

Is that Judds or Peter Green for euro fridges in Somerset TT?

No Toby it’s not

Have you tried sealane? I’m sure they were after kent based drivers not long back.

I had heard (third hand) that Judd are not doing much in Europe at the mo. Don’t know if that’s true or just gossip.

Kelly International - Kent

Cranleigh Freight Service - Surrey

Sitra (Belgium Based but office in Ashford)

S&k turn alot of there trucks round at ashford
You may be usefully located for them and they have recently posted a new advert so ive heard

S&K always looking for Euro drivers  Give 'em a bell - but don’t expect huge wages or brand new kit. It’s a stepping stone back over the water if there’s nothing closer…
If you want the office number, pm me and I’ll let you have it

Are you still there sarge

Yup, still at it for me sins. Only UK work though. A few of our lads got stuck on a 17 hour crossing from Calais the day before Christmas - ■■■■ that!

Haha
Still a turn over of drivers sarge

Thing is Sarge made it quite clear that you can use it as a stepping stone which I’m sure we have all done before in one job so if you want work they have some, don’t know why it’s all anti s&k on here…I’ve not worked for them mind and there is plenty on here about them but they said the same about where I am now and god I find it the easiest job I’ve ever had so don’t believe everything you hear I guess

When I lived down that way, I offered myself freelance to Clan, Heritage, Taft, Sealane, Active and just about everybody else. I was never out of work.

EDIT;

Just looked on Active Transport’s website (not sure how current it is) and they’re advertising for a driver. Not sure who’s at the helm now, but it used to be run by an easy going guy called Mark

First hand experience of s&k is that it isnt all bad
trucks are ok, jobs ok, never hassled at all, attitude in the office was fine, money wasnt brilliant but average across uk haulage at the minute, variety of work
Like most haulage firms theres room for improvement

I met a driver on for s&k that I worked with years ago & he couldn’t fault it & he’s been doing Europe for a good few years, although he did seem to do more channel crossings than the p&o crew.
