How do immigrants get into the trucks?

What are the main ways immigrants get into and under the trucks at ports such as Calais?
Is it more common for them to be found/attempt to get into the trailer itself, or are they more likely to attempt to try and get under the trailer to hide as it open to them.

Thanks!

From the news etc it seems they just open the rear doors and climb in as the trucks drive slowly

Any which way they can. In the back of fridges, hanging off axles even leaping onto the roof of the trailer.

Can’t you just wire the trailer up to a series of inverters so that you can send the trailer live with the flick of a switch and give them a quick zap just before border control so they fall off with the shock ?

Kinda like one of those blue lights in the chippies…

Through the trailer roof, curtains, if a TIR cord fitted they have been known to throw ratchet straps over the roof and pull down on both sides to allow the buckles to be lifted out whilst locked by the TIR cord, and the reverse to seal the trailer again, they will break plastic security seals and even some padlocks and glue them up so they appear OK , mostly these methods are down to people smuggling rings , the average chancer will get in via unlocked back doors /shutters or hug the axles, or hide in the air scoop on the cab , they aren’t waiting to get into trucks only at ports and the train terminal, I have a non lethal method of getting them out of a trailer pepper spray fitted to the trailer, once they get some of that stuff in their faces they will soon want out

You could also paint the axles with something on the lines of ant vandal paint used to stop would be burglars climbing up drain pipes

Id imagine they could be hard to spot if they are inside the trailer hidden amongst the load but Once these guys get under the truck are they easy to spot? Or can they remain well hidden.

As truck drivers, do you guys think that the authorities are doing enough to stop the problem from occurring? Or do you think they are more concerned with catching them, therefore preventing the immigrant from entering Britain, but also getting a bit of cash from the driver/company also.

Thanks

There have been reports of immigrants appearing out from under trucks in traffic long they have left Dover.

inside a trl they will hide on top of the pallets if they are high say 12-18,inch from the roof, or inside a load such as tyres, vehicles If they are on top of high pallets of goods unless you carry a ladder to put up against one of the back doors and a torch you ain’t going to know they are there, until ukba find/detect them , and fine you and your company, which is wrong very wrong,
If outside under the vehicle, yes they can hide, but a thorougher search with a bright torch they are easily spotted

The authorities are doing virtually nothing to stop the flow of imigrants into the uk, the ukba probably wouldn’t bother at all if they couldn’t fine us, the system is corrupt

If you are towards Italy or Spain and have left the Train go at next Break to West-Bound Service Station heading towards Calais. After 45 Min Break you may have enough of them on Board, to turn around and head away from Calais, and next Stop is much closer to Italy or Spain when they leave there hiding place. "-)
t way you would bring them back inside France, where they have been coming and the French Authority has to deal with it.

I know a driver did that … he did a trailer swap at the dock came back out fuelled up and the only spot he knew to park was to head back to the dock 1/2 mt trl ( well plenty of room ) parked for the night then next stop southbound bummer when they opened the doors to "England England " pmsl further away than they started :grimacing:

Maybe if we stopped turning their countries into a wasteland by drones, bombs and shells they might ,just might want to stay at home with their loved ones.

I saw a recent report where they cut through the roof of the trailer to get it. These are desperate people and will try nearly anything.

The only desperate thing is why the UK :open_mouth: its been shown that by staying in France finically their better off. it might be that its easier to get a UK documents for travel throughout the EU…

they want to get to England as it doesnt take as long as in for example France to get legal

they normally pay a flip flop about 2k
