Does anyone know of any decent companies to work for as a Tramping Driver? I would prefer european but will do UK based work as well - I would appreciate if anyone could let me know of anywhere online I can look for Tramping jobs other than your normal agencies, jobsite etc

Just a couple of ones to go on with.
Try the Eures website enter the country you want to find work in or Gumtree is not too bad.
Peter Green, Evercreech, Somerset, fridges to Benelux and Germany.
Framptons at Shepton Mallet they have their own warehouse and office in Barcelona.
Birds in Birmingham.
S and K in Barry, numerous threads about them.
Pulleyns at Reading, they go anywhere, from Turkey to Scandinavia, dead mans shoes and a waiting list.
Davies at Southampton.
Ralph Davies at Cheltenham, he used to go as far as the Chinese border, and did Kasakhstan.
Insight at Inkberrow, they do Spain and Gibraltar in old Magnums and even older trailers.
Good luck with Euro tramping , there is a rather long queue for that type of work and it is going to be a case of " right place right time " I’m afraid . Just have a review of this forum to see how may times your question gets asked . That said …you never know .

I am seeing alot of S&K Haulage when I am over the water, might be worth putting ya name on their books.
Nolans go all over the place too.Just a thought the French are bringing in an Eco tax, a box in the cab, GPS then you pay for their free roads, that are called National roads, this may effect the Eastern euro firms , as this is more expense for the job.
It is on trial in the Alsace region then they plan to roll it out later, at 12 cents per Km, and Brittany will get a 40% discount.
The Uk aborted plans for a black box system to charge more to use congested roads and at rush hours, so the French have beaten the Uk.
A satelite system to track your routes then you get a bill.
The French box you will need to plug it in the ■■■ lighter, the fine will be 750 euros for not having it controlled by the Douanes or the Customs, mobile unit.
Welcome back Toby,havn’t noticed your posts recently. Did you spend christmas at Igors? To the poster after a euro tramping type job get over to NL or Belgium and go knocking on doors, old fashioned but the only way in my humble. Good luck.

Ah yes the old Shell garage with Igors the dog, that brings back some memories, i once spent Christmas at a MSA in Le Mans, it was my fault as i offered to do it as an owner driver.
Never again, woke to ice on inside the cab, the locals pulling in with their cars piled high with gifts in the boot and back seat.
There was me having a can of soup for Christmas dinner.

Why do people ask this question and then give absolutely no indication of their location? He could live in the Outer Hebrides for all we know.
thats part of the reason i dont bother helping too much with these kind of posts Bear. Plus the fact that they havent looked at whats already been written and seen the 100 people that have asked the question already. And they dont say if theyve got any experience.
