What would you have done in this situation?
give the footage to the police, let them deal with it
I would have ■■■■ my pants. That’s for sure, but really there are 3 pricks on show in the clip.
White Scania man for not knocking a km off the limiter.
Dashcam man for trying a 0.5km faster overtake on a two lane stretch.
And the world class award goes to the red car driver who clearly was feeling a bit suicidal that day.

+1
I don’t think I would have stood on the brakes like the cameraman did, knowing I had a camera, I would have made sure I braked but not to the extent he did, 100% his fault - he would never do that again…
Its Ok to handing such a recording to the fuzz but they wouldn’t prosecute due to the fact the the date and time is incorrect on the dash cam, so it would be inadmissible as usable evidence to get a soiled convection in a court of law
So words to the wise guys…ensure you dash cam’s have the correct date and time on them
But on the other hand if the truck had run up the arse of that nob in the red car and you was braking at the time…different story…
If the car was going to do something silly then it would have been better to target the lorry which did not ease off a tiny bit because the same situation is likely to occur further up the road

In that case, all non-gps cameras are inadmissible - they can be set to whatever you put in, if the time comes from the GPS Satellites, then that is 100% correct.
Real shame he braked lorry on one side, central on the other side. The car driver wouldn’t have walked away from that one.
Why the ■■■■ did the truck driver brake so hard
A cursory dab of brakes was all that was needed then plough into the back of him. Footage recorded, hopefully serious injury to the car driver, truck driver walks, done and dusted.

And his Tacho shows a dramatic reduction of speed…job sorted… Show the footage…Proof enough not enough brake distance to stop which was reduced by the ■■■■■■ in the red car, thus he is prosecuted by the law, fined, points on licence or even a ban… …lmao

the police may try and use that to do nothing, but I am sure if they really wished to they could, in any case the evidence could fairly easily be corroborated with the tacho . And also if that was the radio the driver was listening to, then that would be another absolute proff of time, as for location, well that is clear from the video.
I made some rough speed calculations from the video, looks like the camera lorry was at a 54.5 at the beginning increasing to 56.25 just before the incident, and the brake check took him down to 39.

These brake-checkers If you aren’t aware of the proliferation of dash-cams in this day and age especially in commercial vehicles and think you can get away with this manoeuvre then you deserve to be corned-beef. It will hit home soon enough as professional drivers savvy up
Quite frankly , that is the sort of willy-waving between drivers we see countless times during the day/night every day 24/7 - 365.
Exasperated by EU conforming set speed limiters fitted and drivers who arent willing to give for the sake of 1/2 mph.
,
The LGV speed limit ( not target ) in England for dual carriageways & motorways is 60 ,
yet these vehicles are still conforming to eu implemted reg`s and pre-setting limiters to anything from 50 mph to /51/52/53/54//55 /56/57 willy nilly.
.
As for the red car driver - a stupid dan-ger-ous manoeuvre - not condoning his actions whatsoever - a large appendage prize winner if ever seen.

Sorry mate but I need to disagree. The two hgv drivers are not pricks nor did they do anything wrong.
The only prick is the idiot in the car.
The white scania did not need to knock a few clicks off if he doesnt want to and dashcam man is moving faster so why shouldnt he overtake if he wants to, even if only 1km/hr faster?
They are both within the speed limit and if red car prick is too impatient to wait then he does not belong on the road. With the kind of mentality that says he is so enraged at having to sit behind a slower vehicle that he bombs up the hard shoulder and then brake tests, then that person needs their license removed. Its ■■■■■■■■■ like him who cause incidents that kill other people (yet very rarely the one who caused it in the first place)
Its made worse when companies ■■■■■■■ speed even further by limiting speeds more than the 56 the EU allow. I’ve not got a decent answer as to why most of our rigids are limited to 52 whilst our artics are set to 56.

The Facebook comments, Dashcam man is quoted as getting on past the Scania, when the Scania sped up. So yes they both have contributed, even though legally they have done nothing wrong.
It’s the equivalent to ■■■■■■■ in someone else’s missus at a swingers party(so I’m told). Not against the law, but frowned upon, and can lead to rage inducement in others!
Don’t get me wrong, the guy in the Red Audi(surprised?!) is a total toolbag, and need his head testing. I was just pointing out that neither of our brethren covered themselves in glory in the clip that’s all.
Kudos to Dashcam man for getting on the brakes so hard by the way.
White trailer driver should have been courteous and dropped down a couple of k’s to let camera man pass, but he has no obligation to do so. Cockwombles like the Audi driver need to learn they share the road with others. I hope they find him and string him up by the left testicle.
If that had of been me, I normally run close to 44 ton, I doubt I could have stopped like that.

Not wishing to be pedantic but this is quite acceptable, think you may mean an ■■■■ where accidental ■■■■■■■■ are frowned upon unless its with your partner if going as a couple, when solo those who are a little anti ■■■■■■■■■■■ will make this known before or during coupling leading to a disengage and recouple with a more willing recipient, be it male or female.
Awkward rows can take place on the way home if one has tipped on the wrong bay… so im told, just guessin etc.
As far as the dashcam footage its the usual elephant race non event not helped by two unwilling partners, one could have given a little instead of speeding up but they are making progress. The car driver frustrated and stupid gives in too road rage one day he wont be so lucky and well done to the camera lorry for resisting the urge to nudge him a little. Protecting another road user from themselves is still in our remit and the red car owes the trucker a drink at least.
Poorform squealing on faceplant though, but such is the way of the world now, what happens on the road goes on youtube. Doubt the red car driver will get away scot free now its doing the rounds on social media. Who knows this incident may make him a better driver if he keeps his licence. Well he couldnt be much worse.
The car driver needs to be put before a court to explain his actions. Anyone acting so moronic on the road shouldn’t be allowed a driving licence.
The time stamp on the video shouldn’t make any difference, as unlike a speed camera it isn’t the sole means of prosecution, it is just one piece of evidence that would be presented to the court along with witness statements from the drivers and possibly tachograph records too.
Ah Dipper, I knew you would put my analogy right if I had erred
