some nice ones there
You can probably put a name to the faces & places…maybe? Tres Hermanos,Boceguillias.Oasis between Tanger & Casa,Freds. That Breda DAF on the rocks snap was taken coming down the Granada side of the mountain before the m/way was open between Llorca & Granada, not many people used it,it was hard graft fully freighted!
faces got no chance putting names to them all far too long ago
Bocequillas is still popular and that stretch from Lorca is all so changed now, even when I go down there on holidays I hardly recognise the places anymore
I notice one snap of a young driver in a yellow t-shirt in Freds. He was on Saviles & bought it shortly after driving a RHD coming out of Madrid on the N1.A broken down truck was parked on the slow lane on a bend & the Savile lad ran up the back of him.V.sad ,he was a cracking bloke ,a Londoner.
Also a snap of the famous Rastas.

many of them went that way on the old roads especially with RHD´s where your vision was even more limited than normal
Fantastic pics, a real proper mix or trucks, people and places, which sums up the job as I remember it from the heyday!
Great pictures Harry lets have some more,is that Kenny Davies standing in front of a Swiss motor??
Ossie
Re;Ozzie.Yeah, that was Ken, & Max from Aarau subbing for Handkarter who was driving the Volvo. I will dig out some more.
Did you see the snap of Harry from St Marie Total & Pasha? Sadly both passed away now.
Btw, those snaps of drivers & coke cans - the beakers were full of duty free whiskey!

there were about 10 of them irc they used to go to Schipol and Frankfurt as well
used to be wonderful driving through Spain, you could park anywhere and no one was bothered, always some good bars and restaurants in places that no one would even dream of even going through these days.
You never knew what was round the next bend
Re;Turnip. I think Rappers is still trucking.I haven’t seen Tony for years.I was on Malta Cross with Charlie.
