I’ve found a shot of a Boden badge,I know it’s parked in a funny spot, stuck on the side of a “wall” It is actually a 26ft long single axle that came to grief when one of it’s legs sunk into a drain,it was loaded with 16 ton of Bleached kraft paper at the time,
Bit of a slope in that Ambleside car park , then, Dennis ?
Cheers , Anon.

Hiya,
Good time to give the chassis a coat of paint Dennis.
thanks harry, long retired.
Here’s another LHD Guy Big-J, though unfortunately this time it’s only an artist’s impression (Spanish artist, Manel Maseras). Nice drawing though. Robert

Thats where the 240LXB went,Spain!!!,well isn’t that a turn up for the book ROF,it will defo have the 240 engine in it otherwise it would have had a ■■■■■■■ badge on the grille But isn’t the steering wheel on the wrong side though !
Cheers Bewick.
You don’t think it would have had a “Gardner 240” badge on the front, Dennis? Or maybe you flogged off all the badges instead of fitting them to the grilles when you exchanged power plants at your ■■■■■■■ facility?
You think we’re all stupid, don’t you?
Matron says that you could well be correct!

You’re right ROF! We should have known all along that the mystery 8LXB Big-Js were the ones with LHD! Robert
I don’t know why such otherwise intelligent and knowledgeable chaps didn’t think of it before!
So his Lordship was involved in the “left-hooking” of our proud British vehicles in order that Johnny Foreigner could enjoy the superior products that our wonderful and forward-thinking industrialists provided us with. They must have thought all their christmasses had come at once, not having to put up with all those infernal luxuries that the likes of Volvo, Scania, Mercedes and the like were forcing on them.
And I simply cannot understand why an entrepreneur of Bewick’s standing would stoop to such underhand tactics merely to line his own pockets and add yet another million to his retirement fund. In my opinion, he and the other “captains of industry” should be forced to try to exist on the Basic State Pension for a month. Not that I want to harp on about that, of course!

Is that a Stradivarious violin I can hear playing in the background or a bloody great harp ! We now know that the 8LXB Big J did exist---------------------in Spain—albeit with the steering wheel on the wrong side,so it’s a fact, the senior office staff at Fallings Park must have built it when the lads off the production line were having a “brew”.The plots thickens me thinks.Cheers Bewick.
Your’e right there, Bewick - the thick plottens! This picture was seen through a cloud of smoke, slowly climbing the hill out of Malaga. Robert
SLOWLY!!!
